March 25, 201015 yr 70. The Saturdays - Just Can't Get Enough [167.5 points] 1st of the Saturdays songs to appear, ranking 7th of their hits. Released in 2009 and reached #2 in the UK and #6 in Ireland. I do like this cover but I'm glad it came last of their songs! But tbh I don't think it should have been up this high! This should have been about 100 places lower at least. -_- As IF that mediocre cover is better than some of the great songs it has beaten. Pah. And they should not have 6 songs left either. If this competition was done again in ten years all their songs would sink without a trace - except perhaps Up. Black Coffee  Amaaaaazing. All Saints are one of my favourite girl bands. March 25, 201015 yr Author 67. Destiny's Child - Bills, Bills, Bills [170.5 points] LP3u6Pd7XKo Ranking 6th of DC's songs. Shakespear's Sister - Stay [170.5 points] _eXw47qb4U0 The only SS song to feature. Released in 1992 and reached #1 in the UK, #1 in Ireland, #1 in Sweden, #2 in Sweden, #3 in Australia, #4 in the US and #5 in New Zealand. I  this song! Edited March 25, 201015 yr by Lukuzz
March 25, 201015 yr Author 66. Girls Aloud - Long Hot Summer [171 points] tu-SaSLlrH0 Ranking 15th of GA's songs. Released in 2005 and reached #7 in the UK, #16 in Ireland and #30 in Greece. Girls Aloud are my best ever, but this is one of their worst EVER songs imo, shouldn't have been top 100 and deffo shouldn't have beat Whole Lotta History :( imo Edited March 25, 201015 yr by Lukuzz
March 25, 201015 yr Author And I will be posting 65 - 51 tomorrow. Then the top 50 will start on Saturday :D
March 25, 201015 yr Shakespears Sister  I could go into another rant about what a disgrace it is that almost the entire Saturdays back catalogue is higher than it blah blah, but I just did that 5 minutes ago. Still, #67 is an achievement considering it's 18 years old. Long Hot Summer is brilliant. No idea why loads of Girls Aloud fans seem to hate it. Their 2nd best single, after Sexy! No No No.

March 25, 201015 yr Some amazing songs coming through now! 'Stay' by Shakespeares Sisters is one of my all time favourites  I adore it SOOOO much! Can't believe most of The Sats back catalogue is higher than some gems. (Hello. 'If This Is Love' is STILL to come ) I do love them, but they've been around for about a year! Hardly anything groundbreaking/"girl band classic" status-y (bar maybe 'Up' & 'Ego' imo). Most of GA's back catalogue too! :( I do love these groups but they sure as hell ain't THIS good (bar a few songs of theirs). 'Emotions' is DC's best. (Behind 'Lose My Breath' & 'Cater 2 U' for me ) Such a beautiful cover. Also love the Mad TV parody of it  I also agree about IDNAM. Underrated by PCD standards, for sure :( It's probably my 3rd or 4th fave. Ah well. Decent countdown so far.
March 25, 201015 yr Ooh I hadnt realized all 7 Saturdays singles were this high. Dissapointed its Just Cant Get Enough that dropped out first though, would have thought it would be If This Is Love or Work. I Dont Need A Man is bloody awful and its really dissapointing to see that quite a lot of PCD songs still to come when so many great songs have already dropped out. Was perhaps expecting Potential breakup Song to be higher, love it. I never liked B* Witched and mianly because of C'est La Vie, which I hated completly. Emotion, Black Coffee and I Know Where It At were great aswell but Long Hot Summer shouldnt be top 100. I always loved GA's version of I'll Stand By You though.
March 25, 201015 yr I think it's when you realise that there's still basically everything released by PCD, Saturdays, Girls Aloud and Sugababes left that maybe an average rating might have been a better idea. This method is a bit biased towards the newer groups that everyone knows. (though I suppose an average rating might put the songs that not so many people knew higher...) Anyway, disappointed to see "I Know Where It's At" and "Bills, Bills, Bills" so low, probably the two songs that got me into their respective groups. (though I believe it was All Saints debut single anyway) Really reminds me of the late 90s. "Bills, Bills, Bills" is probably my favourite, after "Girl". Ok, the production is a bit typical for a late 90s R&B track, but I love the attitude on it.
March 25, 201015 yr The only real problem with using averages really is that you'd have the unknown European girlbands from 1992 who only 2 people have heard of getting two high scores. It has its negatives but I think on the whole adding the scores up was for the best.
March 25, 201015 yr To reply to Phil, Side Chick was very Robyn-esque in my opinion :o Loved it! ah C'est La Vie - utter pop trash but it takes me back to my final months of primary school! So pleased To You I Belong is highest though  oh, and far from being a Disney-esque pop fan, Potential Break Up Song was absolutely fantastic  such a great electro-pop beat, one of my favourite pop songs of the 00's easily - its #22 peak was completely unjustified
March 25, 201015 yr The only real problem with using averages really is that you'd have the unknown European girlbands from 1992 who only 2 people have heard of getting two high scores. It has its negatives but I think on the whole adding the scores up was for the best. If you had used a minimum divisor though, you wouldn't have had this problem. :P I think you just have to put it into perspective really. A song from pre-2000 getting into the top 100 amongst The Saturdays/Sugababes/Girls Aloud domination can be seen as a real success.
March 25, 201015 yr 66. Girls Aloud - Long Hot Summer [171 points] tu-SaSLlrH0 Ranking 15th of GA's songs. Released in 2005 and reached #7 in the UK, #16 in Ireland and #30 in Greece. Girls Aloud are my best ever, but this is one of their worst EVER songs imo, shouldn't have been top 100 and deffo shouldn't have beat Whole Lotta History :( imo Surprisingly Long Hot Summer is one of my favourite GA tracks  To reply to Phil, Side Chick was very Robyn-esque in my opinion :o Loved it! Its sensationally stunning
March 25, 201015 yr "Long hot summer" and "I think we're alone now" are serious GA guilty pleasures
March 25, 201015 yr 68. The Pussycat Dolls - I Don't Need A Man [169.5 points] qBsEF7Qx09o Ranking 10th of the PCD songs. Released in 2006 and reached #4 in the Netherlands, #6 in Australia, #7 in the UK, #7 in New Zealand, #9 in Ireland, #12 in France, #15 in Switzerland, #17 in Canada, #20 in Germany and #93 in the US. Personally this is in my top 2 PCD songs, underated by their standards imo! One of their best
March 25, 201015 yr 'Black Coffee' should be much much higher! I'm hoping 'To You I Belong' / 'All The Things She Said' and other songs break up the obvious GA/Sugababes/The Saturdays Top 15 onslaught!
March 25, 201015 yr Love 'I Don't Need A Man' By far one of their best, I remember being shocked that it went Top 10 in the UK though! Surprised the likes of 'Hush Hush; Hush Hush' is still to come unless I missed it.
March 25, 201015 yr yeah...so far only Wait A Minute and I Don't Need A Man showed up. there is still 9 PCD songs to come.
March 26, 201015 yr Author Hey people, my laptop is playing up atm so I probably won't be able to post anymore results until Mon/Tues, sorry :(
March 29, 201015 yr Author 65. The Pussycat Dolls - Beep [171.5 points] 1r9ghI7YcL0 Ranking 9th of PCD's songs. Released in 2006 and reached #1 in New Zealand, #2 in the UK, #2 in Ireland, #2 in the Netherlands, #3 in Australia, #5 in Canada, #5 in Germany, #6 in Switzerland, #10 in France and #13 in the US. This should be lower than I Don't Need a Man imo, not one of my faves of theirs. 65. Destiny's Child - Independant Women Part I [171.5 points] P9NgtAYaLxc Ranking 5th of DC's songs. Released in 2000 and reached #1 in the UK, #1 in the US, #1 in New Zealand, #2 in Ireland, #2 in the Netherlands, #2 in Switzerland, #3 in Canada, #3 in Australia, #10 in Germany and #19 in France. This song is an anthem imo, I thought it would be top 50 but seems as though DC aren't as popular on here as I thought.. <_<
