Well considering she's been in the papers for a few wks now, I am not amazed she went Top 10 anyway.

 

Parachute was doing well and was obviously going to be a hit way before this ashley business in fairness.

 

I'm not saying the press hasnt helped a tiny bit, but parachute would have gone top ten anyway, its getting airplay and a lot of people like it.

 

 

it probably would've gone higher without the Ashley split as she wouldn't have cancelled most (if not all, depending on whether she'll do Sport Relief) of her performances to promote it. Of course the papers help with some promo, but her performing on the TV shows she had lined up would've done far more than any article in the showbiz section of a paper about her marriage has done.

3 words had sold 148,604 copies after the week of release, Parachute has sold over 140k already, so it'll probably do 165k-170k after the week of release, despite the lower peak

 

Plus, when 3 words was released the album was on 608k, now the album is at 706k, so it's sold nearly 100k more.

Sugas :( Cant say im suprised but I was at least hoping for top 10. Such an undeserved, their best album since Taller In More Ways imo.

I think so deserved for the Sugababes, all I have read in the past few months is Keisha this Keisha that it is just so off putting and makes them come across as right cows.

Really upset for the Sugababes. I wasn't expecting it to be high in the chart, but I thought it was definitely going to reach top 10. I hope it can climb in there for Sunday. :(

I think it has proved to be the worst performing Sports relief single ever and serves whomever dished it out to Robbie right-No 60

Although I like "Morning sun" a lot, I will never understand why they chose this for Sport Relief.

strange for sugababes,dizzee rascals last album was frontloaded with three no1 singles - yet it only got to no3 in the album charts - maybe people are just cherry picking?

I think Sugababes would have better success if they would have changed the name of the band. somehow i find Sugababes Clones a lot better :lol:

 

I never expected that Robbie will get such a worse chart place with the airplay he got. Actually from his released from this album, i like this single the most. He should have released a physical version, like he did in Germany. But he have soon some promotion, if i am not wrong, so i expect the song will rise in the future.

I'm surprised it isn't doing better given that it has had loads of airplay (well I've heard it loads on Wish FM anyway ... I'm assuming other radio stations are similar). He is doing the Sports Relief program this weekend so I'm sure it'll be a hit. He did say himself that he was surprised it had been chosen for SR.
