it probably would've gone higher without the Ashley split as she wouldn't have cancelled most (if not all, depending on whether she'll do Sport Relief) of her performances to promote it. Of course the papers help with some promo, but her performing on the TV shows she had lined up would've done far more than any article in the showbiz section of a paper about her marriage has done.

She only cancelled the interview on JR though, she was still supposed to perform there until she got a bad case of bronchilis (that's why she cancelled the Live Lounge). Of course we could say she might not have fallen sick without all those mariage worries...

Anyway, it's all supposed to be post poned at the mo, so maybe she'll finally get a top5 peak with 'Parachute' at some point :) And already 3 weeks in the top10 for the fourth top10 hit off an album is quite amazing.

I still don't think she was sick at all but cancelled it all because of Ashley coming home, but back on topic, I think it'll probably fall to #8 by Sunday if she doesn't perform on Friday, if she does than it'll probably go to #7 if Inna takes over

When Catfights sold 23k in its first week, that was on the back of one single. This album is on the back of 3 singles.

Sales last week were boosted by Mothers Day - everyone getting albums for their mums and probably buying a cd for themselves while their at it.

 

This week sales have collapsed, thats why Glee are #1 on 15,000 - that album is not gonna do the 100,000 that Boyzone did last week.

 

Someone had said before the midweeks came out that it was #11 on 5000 sales - the #11 was confirmed, and I'm inclined to believe the 5000 sales due to the #1 album being on 15,000. If this is right, then Sweet 7 will probably end on 12-15,000 by the end of this week

yeah logically it should sell 3 times as big due to 3 top 10 singles being on the album, obviously not...

And anyway, C&S was a flop album too (didn't it sell no more than 120k or something?), so I don't get why you make a big deal of S7 potentially outselling it. It needs to outsell it by a BIG margin actually.

Mind you i can understand it, the albums been online for 2months, it has the cheapest looking cover/case i have seen in quite a number of years.

 

As much as i love the album/Amelle/Heidi it's totally deserved.

Sugababes will probably get a massive boost in sales on the saturday with most people going to supermarkets at the weekend. I have no doubt its sales will be better than Catfights, but it will probably chart around the same if not a bit lower position. I have a feeling Tinie will probably not be be moving off the top spot for another 2-3 weeks.

Maybe someone will take the hint and disband the Sugababes for good. I'm not bashing them. I'm being serious. The further they go on the more they are tarnishing their achievements.

Agreed. The longer the group limp on, the more their fabulous back catalogue gets coated in dirt. Even leaving aside the Keisha business, the band have descended into generic production-line pop, a long way away from the edgy, classy pop they produced at their peak.

I really hope Black Eyed Peas can sneak into the top 10 come sunday,
