I think that telephone really is a true musical masterpiece, my favorite gaga song and possibly one of my all time favorites - really really dont get some of the hate of this song that ive seen on here! Accusations of it being generic, boring, weak for compared to gagas other songs, are you not hearing the same song i am? :blink: :blink:

when combined 4 Cheryl's entries and 3 rihanna's in top 1000 Cheryl is over Rihanna, whats more Cheryl definetely will sell more cd's than rihanna, and Cheryl is still in A-list on Radio 1, and Rihanna is out of the list, so I predict that Cheryl will overtake Rihanna, and get her 4 top 5 single.

So should make top 5, may overtake justin soon too.

Telephone is immense, also agree with the other posts that question the dislike for the track on here.

 

Maybe not a popular opinion but also love the Miles track ... she gave a decent performance on American Idol (and played the piano for the first verse/chorus) - not quite a ballad in the same vein as The Climb but a beautiful track none-the-less :)

I'd say that 'Bad Romance' and 'Poker Face' were totally unique to her, whereas any pop female could come up with a 'Telephone'.

 

Well, the 4 songs are all electropop songs, and also dance songs (although Poker Face not so much), and they're all in minor keys, which doesn't help.

 

I think they're all good songs, just too similar to each other. I think Bad Romance stands out for me, because it's got the best chorus by far in my opinion, and Telephone stands out because of Beyonce, the best bridge of Lady Gaga's singles so far, and I think the song is the best, in a structural semse. However, in terms of the lyrics, it seems quite similar to Just Dance, because both songs take place in a club, and so on.

 

Most artists make similar songs in all fairness, it's not just Lady Gaga, and I suppose Lady Gaga's songs are good, even if they are all similar.

Or Inna, she hasn't cd's, she is only #38 on play.com(cheryl #4) and #17 on amazon(Cheryl #10). Don't forget that last week Inna on Dave's list was over Cheryl, and finally she sold over 2 k less than Cheryl.

Lady GaGa is good because she writes all her own songs and the songs are good and catchy. The same with keri hilson.

Ha, tell me about it. I'd like to think people wouldn't be quite so stupid to buy Professor Green though, it's awwwwful!

 

Here's hoping Kate Nash and Roll Deep are #01's to make up for it though. :wub:
