The anti-indie/rock stance (outside of posters who love the genre) is way more annoying than the anti-male. I haven't really noticed the latter much at all tbh. Meh.

I don't think it's a stance, moreso that people on here are more pop fans than anything else. I like the odd bit of indie/rock but it's far from one of my favourite genres.

I can see why people have the opinion that BJ is female obsessed, nearly everyone has female singers in their sig/avatar, but I think that's more to do with the lack of male personalities in the music industry at the moment. Who exactly is the equivalent to Lady GaGa? Adam Lambert maybe but he hasn't properly broken through here yet, give him a few months and a fair few posters will have him in their sigs I reckon.

I don't mean to sound rude and arrogant when I post these things. :( It's just my personal opinion and I just like to get my thoughts onto the forum. Maybe the rolling eyes was uncalled for but it's just how I've observed stuff on Buzzjack since I joined. Everybody is different and has their own tastes. It's just that my tastes are so different to most BJ's who adore mostly female artists.

Nobody is saying you can't put across your thoughts, your thoughts are more than welcome on this forum, as much as mine are. I just don't like the fact that Buzzjack seem to be stereotyped that we won't like anything male, but we'll like anything female.

Or BJ's dislike for any artist with a penis

Oh, please don't start, that's the reason we're having this discussion in the first place.

Is Pass Out gonna be one of those songs, that is only pushed down by new songs, but never really falls on its own, if you know what I mean.

I can see it having a chart run like this - 1-1-2-2-3-4-5-6-7 or something like that

Possibly but I can't see it staying at #3 next week. I think the top 3 will be:

1. SFG :(

2. Lady G

3. Plan B

Hmm, maybe you're right. I just get the feeling sometimes that people hate it on principle, and when I look at things like the Record of the Decade game and see some posters never have it in their charts and things, even when they're left to scraping the barrel I just wonder why. I get the feeling that if they had to rank all the songs, the indie/rock songs would all be in a group at the bottom (well, maybe ahead of the rap songs http://imgsrv2.tennisuniverse.com/wtaworld/images/smilies/devil.gif) I can understand it not being the favourite genre of people, but sometimes I do think it gets judged unfairly/not given a chance. I suppose Marina & The Diamonds is well-loved here at least, though she is more "pop for indie kids" so maybe doesn't count as much.

Anywho, let's not deviate from the iTunes chart any further. :D

What about Eurovision fans who will instantly like anything chucked at them as long as it's related to the contest? :kink:

That's not true as everyone on here seems to love Lady GaGa :kink: [/joke]

I hope she can get a third week at the top next week but it's looking doubtful :(

Holy $h!t, this made me LOL!!!

And the same applies to rap, the same applies to dance, the same applies to most genres outside R&B and Pop. If anything Indie-rock is liked by a lot of the posters here (definitely not me though), and my favourite genre dance is not liked by nearly as many posters, so you can't complain about that...

How are Scouting For Girls so high? :s

I didn't think it would dent Top 10. Not good imo :/

plan B #1 on the album chart is that why it is only at #11 on the singles chart?

True, but dance is pretty liked when it reaches out into the charts. Cascada are well-liked here, and I've seen mostly positive reactions to Inna etc.

Perhaps there probably are less people who REALLY love dance though compared to with indie/rock, but I would certainly say among the general Buzzjack population it's more well-liked, from my observations at least.

I dont mind BJ loving female music slightly more than male, but its just people need to realise that there have been some great Rock songs, and when these are ignored in these certain Record of the decade or otherwise games then it is aggravating e.g. Elbow's One Day Like This didnt qualify for ROTD at first and Mariah Carey' Touch My Body did- its just a bit unfair :(

about the current number 1,the SFG song doesnt sound different from anything else theyve done, but it does makes a change form the usual urban/pop that gets there, so I would like it to do well

GO SFG! I'm liking the recent quick number 1 changes in the officials recently. (Even if most the number 1's this have been dire so far). Nobody is outstaying their welcome for too long. (Tinie is debateable though as he outstayed his welcome in the iTunes chart as soon as it debuted imo :P)

plan b for top 3 he is class (:

lady G for number on again next week, but its looking doubtfull :/

sfg song is good thoo (: x

What's this Delirium song?

I don't like seeing songs I don't know chart so high without me having heard them :heehee:
