While you've got a strong point, Diana has a pretty large fanbase (mainly from X Factor but also Little Voice musical and Once) and i'm sure her core fans will buy both the CD on monday and the download the day before.

 

Chipmunk on the other hand, being an R&B/Urban act, is unlikely to shift many physicals and will rely heavily on downloads.

 

At this moment, it could swing any way but i guess most bets are on Chippy cos, as you say, the flavour of the month/2010.

 

Diana would have done amazing a year ago - with the likes of La Roux, Little Boots and Florence being huge. Plus the lingering hype of XF:2008.

Chipmunk is only available on downloads. Diana has only got a CD + downloads, if Prof. Green can't do it on physicals, she be falling in the same bracket.

She also seems to have won over a few fans who didn't particularly like her in XFactor too with 'Once'. Fanbase+Physical+Downloads+Promo(i think she's got some more promo lined-up) = WIN tbh. But having said that I will not be surprised if Chip does manage it. If he does I'd imagine it'll be a close call, but if Diana manages to get the number 1, I have a weird feeling it won't be as close as people think/predict (myself included)? :unsure:

I hope you are right and i completely agree. But still for some strange reason feel it's destined for #2. Does Live Lounge have a huge impact on the charts cos Diana is doing it on Thursday (it's either this thursday or last thursday :lol:)?

Have listened to some of the previews on Itunes of the album and thought it sounded brilliant - I can see her doing really well actually - which would make 3 from Series 5 of the X Factor doing really well

I'm really hoping it'll get No.1 but I just don't know, I'll say Top 3

Now she is announced as JLS' support act and Marvin has gave Once his seal of approval, hopefully that will get some sales from their fanbase. Chipmunk is ahead at the moment in music video sales on itunes.

 

I would love it if this did get to #1, it would be the best #1 of the year so far for me.

i dont mind who goes to #1, but i think diana and her record company are thinking it'll be #1, if it doesnt they will be very disapointed mi thinks..
