I must say thanks to TiP for sending Robyn instead of that God awful, ear-rape of a track Kelis & David Guetta. Can Kelis even make good songs? Apart from 'Millionaire' and 'Lil' Star' I've found her to be quite frankly awful.

But even if I was talking about your entry, it's not really ill informed as there are loads of people on here that love that sort of music and particularly The Knife's music in general!

Just listened. Not as bad as her other stuff, however it just does nothing for me. Sounds dated now too. Good video though. What can I say? I'm just not a Kelis fan.

I'm not overly bothered, it seems like a foregone conclusion - it's definitely a one horse race, I can't see Diana's song crossing over to anywhere near as many people as Robyn's...a lot of people seem to have a problem with her voice - I'm seeing mid-low top ten rather than 2nd. Nonsuch are basically going to 'Hollywood it'.

I'm not overly bothered, it seems like a foregone conclusion - it's definitely a one horse race, I can't see Diana's song crossing over to anywhere near as many people as Robyn's...a lot of people seem to have a problem with her voice - I'm seeing mid-low top ten rather than 2nd. I'm hoping nobody would change their opinion on somebody's entry just because the person said something that they didn't like! It's a song contest, not a personal vendetta contest :heehee:

 

As for Fembots, I've avoided listening to the leak because I don't want her album to be ruined i.e. Boots/Marina where I know everything already before I've bought it. However, seeing as it's in the contest I have no choice :heehee: So on first (then second) listen, I absolutely loved it. Bits of the first verse are a bit average, but it has charming lyrics to compensate. But then the bridge/chorus bit is great. I certainly don't put it in the same league as The Girl & The Robot, With Every Heartbeat or Dream On, but I can definitely see it winning - it's the first proper new solo material from her for absolutely ages, and she's easily the most hit-likely artist in BJSC.
