March 31, 201015 yr I don't really know what people were expecting. That's exactly what she promised it to be - a club song. I've only listened to the song once and I like it, though I really wasn't impressed by the chorus - not smthng you can sing along to.
March 31, 201015 yr More generic on anything than Blackout? That simply isn't true and you must surely know it. Yes this has rings of other songs but it's not especially alike to anything else out now and it's one of the best-produced songs in an absolute age. I hate how everybody is so ready to piss on poor Christina's parade. Just proclaim it the worldwide #1 eternal smash that you would if it was Britney singing.
March 31, 201015 yr Just proclaim it the worldwide #1 eternal smash that you would if it was Britney singing. Although if it was Britney singing it, it wouldn't be a worldwide #01 :kink:  Seems alright ^_^ will grow on me with more listens.
March 31, 201015 yr Love it on first listen  the chorus is a bit of a non-event I suppose but the rest of the song is brilliant, absolutely love the production, and outro as others have said. It's not the sort of song that requires a massive chorus anyway I wouldn't have said.
March 31, 201015 yr Really liking it. only listened three times so far. but I think I will love it soon enough!
March 31, 201015 yr Please tell me you're joking. This doesn't even hold a flame to the worst songs on Blackout. This is generic beyond belief. It's kind of catchy and I'll listen to it but not in a million years would I call this a credible, good pop song. Christina is just not good. :/ Hopefully the Le Tigre and Ladytron tracks will be better. It doesn't hold up well on repeated listenage. I maintain, however, that that bass line sounds SEXUAL through good earphones. I am now of the opinion that this sounds like a Blackout B-side. It's GOOD FUN, but yeah, hella generic. I'm more looking forward to the album.

This is the thing though (and I agree with them actually) Christina's voice is too good for this sorta track, whereas Britney's voice suits this type of production a hell of alot better (imo). Anyway this is still growing on me  So it better do well.

Well I am a huge Britney fan and not once did I compare it to Britney. Ben was only saying it's not as good as anything on Blackout. Not everyone has to agree on what sounds generic, you think Womanizer is generic I think it's hot as f***. But I love this songs production, and I think everything on it is really good besides the cringe worthy chorus. If she sang the chorus like she sang GIAB then this song would be ALOT better. I think that you should probably just take a step back and realize that an opinion is nothing more then just an opinion and we all don't have to agree with each other.
March 31, 201015 yr Love it  I was tbh slightly underwhelmed on first listen but on my second listen now and whilst I think it will take a few more listsens before I can count it as one Xtinas best its certainly gonna be a fantastic club song. Camp as hell and just
March 31, 201015 yr I agree with Tyler about her oversinging on this. I think that's why I'm not so keen on the middle 8, it doesn't really seem to fit, she suddenly goes into 'oversinging' mode. People may criticise Britney's 'robotic' vocals, but they would fit a song like this more than Christina's overpowering voice. Having said that, that is my only criticism of the song. Other than that I still love it, especially the drumming parts - they should be in it more!
March 31, 201015 yr Really growing on me this one...proper want the HQ version though! Only really got the full "oomph" of this when I was listening through earphones earlier today.
March 31, 201015 yr It's grown on me a lot more since the first listen, I love it now! On first listen I liked it but wasn't too impressed, thought it was like another 'Keeps Getting Better', but 'Not Myself Tonight' is better.
March 31, 201015 yr I hate how everybody is so ready to piss on poor Christina's parade. Just proclaim it the worldwide #1 eternal smash that you would if it was Britney singing. I wouldn't LOL? I'd be dissapointed if it was Britney. Though maybe not really, considering what a $h!tshow Circus was. I'd expect something this generic at that point. Blackout was incredible, though. And all I was expecting from this was a club song / hit. But just because it's a dance / pop / club song doesn't mean that it cannot be judged as poor / good. A great example of a good club song would be Acapella. This is generic and lame.
April 1, 201015 yr It's good - but I bet there'll be more stronger songs on the album that could've been better as lead single
