Before there's a unanimous "Baby ~ Justin Bieber", I better get it in first :P

^ no I'm glad it did MUHAR. :P

Well the list would be way too long, I disagree with the most of songs that are Top 10 in the UK generally. :heehee:

Another one totally dependant on music taste.

Shouldn't is such a personal thing, even widely hated songs are liked by some.

All down to opinion.

What songs shouldn't have reached the top 10 in the UK?

You mean - other than every rap song ever? :w00t:

Justin Bieber - Baby

Anything by McFly :puke:

Basshunter - Now You're Gone (All I Ever Wanted is great tho )

Can't think ATM

I need about 50 pages to list them all

Here's a shortened version

Most R&B stuff of the noughties (except for Alicia Keys, Pussycat Dolls, Black Eyed Peas)

All Hip Hop (Rap)

Anything by McFly, Westlife, Britney Spears, Jedward, JLS

Mind you the US chart is miles worse. (over 80% urban)

The most undeserving (In a compressed list):

Fatman Scoop - "Be Faithful" - I belive this was disputed when it reached #1, as it was almost chanceless by the Friday but an unusual high amount of sales on the Saturday got to #1. I still belive that was an elaborate rig.

The X-Factor winner songs (Except 05 and 06) + the two charity singles - We all know people are like sheep, and Cowell manipulates the charts.

Any of JLS singles - Pop at it's blandest.

Tiny Tempah - Chav power is still alive....

3 of a kind - "Baby cakes" - The most chavviest #1 ever.

Jessica Simpsons rape of "These boots are made for walking" - we all know she'd be a hardcore porner if she wasn't famous.

Rihanna - "Umbrella" - thanks for ruining summer 2007.

That Eamon and Frankie nonsense.

Anything by JLS

Anything by Justin boober

Anything by Westlife

Also, 'BedRock'.. Wtf were the public thinking? :puke:

How's about anything that denied a great song of getting into the top 10:

Shapeshifters - Back To Basics (denied 'Holiday' by Green Day, even thought it wasn't the worst top 10 entry that week)

Shayne Ward - No Promises (denied 'Bright Idea' by Orson)

Chumbawamba - Amnesia (denied 'Good Riddance' by Green Day)

I would have said whatever denied Muse's 'Plug In Baby' but turns out #10 that week was almost as good, 'Ms Jackson' by Outkast. Although Hear'Say did go straight in at #1 that week so maybe that

I'm with you on Good Riddance, Amnesia was completely forgettable (no pun intended :drama:)

Although Bright Idea was DIRE, one of my least favourite songs of all time - all hail Shayne Ward :heehee:

I'm generally against one hit wonders scoring a complimentary forgettable #10 hit, which seems to happen every now and then - Afroman's Crazy Rap, Vanilla Ice's Play That Funky Music...

Well quite a lot of songs really:

Justin Bieber

the grime rubbish from this year

one that sticks out in particular is Akon- Right Na Na Na- dire is too weak a word for this tosh, its amazing how such an awful song made the top 10

TBH Eminem is probably the only rapper of the noughties that was any good. There were odd songs from some others that were good...but Eminem made consistently good stuff.

I'd argue Kanye and Jay-Z as well, even if the latter is patchy to say the least. All I'd ever want from him is The Blueprint 3 and the Collision Course mashup album but Kanye has consistently put outt good material and to me it's a testament to an artist's growth that his first era was his weakest. Every album since has had at least one classic on it.

Apart from that, it's a bit sad that Eminem is by far the best rapper of the decade when he was only active for half of it and then came back with a pretty mediocre album (We Made You aside)

Nicklebacks Rockstar.

One of the worst tracks of the last decade imo :(
