And in a professional contest, a more professional use of words in both pronounciation and sound is definitely more appropriate and FTW -_- :cheer:

He was really good but I thought A1 were just as great, and their song is completely contemporary and judging by the bookies love for the more contemporary songs in the contest this year (Germany and Azerbaijan), I'm guessing Norway would have been just behind them in the odds right now had A1 been picked :o Funny, because on the night Didrik did have a 'winning song' feel to it to me but a lot of people on forums (other than this one) are predicting a complete flop. I still think top ten is a certainty but others aren't sure :unsure:

Just look at the articles. "The" vs. "Der/Die/Das". That alone is already A LOT to learn. And there are more things.

I wish I could speak another language fluently :cry: I'm decent-ish at French and know some Swedish, but I'd love to be fluent in both of these - maybe one day!

I should have two languages under my belt in a few years because I will be studying in France for two semesters. ^_^ I would like to know Swedish too, Rich. But I think I know more Norwegian... Maybe I can just mix both together and claim that I'm fluent in both? :kink:

Oh yeah, i got what you meant about the Die/Das/Der thing. Never really confused me as much as i thought it would at Standard Grade. Once you get the gender right it's hard to forget, although i'm doing a good job the now. My German has slipped from conversational to uber Basic. [i have know idea how to get the Umlaut on a British keyboard]

Yeah that was a bit of a pain for my German Speaking exam, although i came away with a 1 so i must have gotten it all ok.

 

I need to start learning German again :wub: If i don't get my internship i think i'd like to go back to Germany instead of going to Spain in the summer. Especially NordRhine-Westphalia [i have a feeling i've spelt Rhine wrong] and Berlin. :wub:

German and english is nothing compared to russian. Verbs depend on the noun's gender, unlike in english. Plus some sentences have so many different translations. Like "I ate" - "Я поела/Я поел/Я съела/Я съел/Я ел/Я ела".
