We R One // #13 (2008)

Oh I did love them! Same Difference came third in the fourth series of X Factor and I really thought they might've won it, how amazing would that have been?! :( After their time on The X Factor they released their own album and single. 'We R One' got to #13 in the UK and their album got to #22 with over 180,000 copies sold in the UK. They are now working on new material with a brand new album apparently being released in the summer! Exciting!

All This Time // #01 (2004)

Quite how she made it this high is beyond me. She was alright I guess and let's be honest, if it wasn't for her weight she would not have won. I personally think Suzanne should've won that series but hey ho! Since winning the second series of Pop Idol she had a huge #01 with her winning single 'All This Time' and her album 'The Meaning Of Love' going Top 3 in the UK and selling over 250,000 copies. Her second single 'The Meaning Of Love' bombed in at #16. She now appears as a guest host of the Scottish TV show, 'The Hour' as well as co-hosting the BBC Scottish Radio show 'Let's Do The Show Right Here'. What a thrilling career that must be.

She's shed some weight since then. She's about as annoying as Jackie Bird who gets far too much airtime on BBC Scotland.

Between the two of them it's a good enough reason to watch BBC North West and ITV London from the back end of the Sky Guide.

When I Lost You // #06 (2003)

Another one that I'm surprised is so high! She didn't even make the finals of the first series of Pop Idol which I think alot of people were shocked about at the time. She did fairly well for herself managing to get herself a #06 hit in the UK with 'When I Lost You' which is some feat considering she didn't make the finals and wasn't a novelty act. Her followup single 'Automatic' made Top 20 but her album got cancelled due to lack of interest. Shame. She did release new material in 2008 but it went over most of the public's heads as it got no promotion whatsoever.

Come Back // #13 (2002)

Jessica came 10th in the first series of Pop Idol and after the BBC asked her to represent the UK in Eurovision with her #13 smash 'Come Back', which she gave the UK their best result since 1998. She had planned to release futher material but it got cancelled for whatever reason. She is now working on new material and showcased some new material at some Eurovision party last year.

What About Now // #11 (2009)

Daughtry are a rock band fronted by Chris Daughtry who came fourth in the fifth series of American Idol. They haven't made a huge impact in the UK with their only recognisable song being ''What About Now'' which hit #11 last year thanks to The X Factor. In America they are huge though with two #01 albums and 7 Top 40 hits on the Hot 100.

Were my votes added? I really can't see myself giving Same Difference anything higher than a zero?!

Hold On Me // #10 (2003)

Phixx were a boyband made up from the members who didn't make the winning group, One True Voice. they went on to be slightly more successful and have a slightly longer career than the winners. They managed to score four Top 20 hits in the UK with their debut, 'Hold On Me' going Top 10. The most recent bit of new surronding them was that Nikk of the group auditioned for X Factor in 2008 which he didn't even make it past the first auditions!

I Can't Break Down // #02 (2003)

I loved her . She was my favourite on Fame Academy I think and I brought both of her singles haha! She came 2nd on Fame Academy and her debut single 'I Can't Break Down' did fairly well hitting #02 in the UK but her followup 'What You Need Is ...' only made #19 and her album 'Ready To Run' made an embarrasing #48. She is now part of a band with her husband called Sinead And The Daybreakers.

Haha, good. I thought I had been quite harsh with my votes, but it's looking like I was one of more generous voters. :o I knew I had to have given them a zero though, they were awful.

I also didn't realise Sarah Whatmore was a reality star until this thread. I kinda liked her song, had long forgotten it though.

Phixx. I've never adored a boyband since, like I did with Phixx. Hold On Me was a brilliant song and it helped that the videos basically looked like soft gay porn.

I was quite fond of Jessica Garlick, Alex Parks and Sinead aswell. Michelle McManus, whats she doing these days, theres a new album thats been coming soon for about 5 years I think.

Anyone Of Us (Stupid Mistake) // #01 (2002)

The spikey haired stutter came 2nd in the first series of Pop Idol, many of us were convinced he would win so it was quite a shock that he lost out to Will Young! He still had a great start to his career with three consecutive #01 singles and a #02 album. He did quickly fall into obscurity though, shortly after his 2nd album where he was branded a flop as it didn't go Top 10 and none of his singles from it went to #01 either, unless you count 'Spirit In The Sky'. He released new music in 2007, getting a Top 20 hit with 'Changes' and his album 'Pictures From The Other Side' getting to #22 in the UK. He's doing alright though, it was reported in 2009 that he made over 6.5 million off of his career!

Real Things // #04 (2003)

Oh I was hoping she'd scrape Top 20 tbh! Given some surprising $h!t that's still to come anyway. She was pretty much always the favourite to win and make the group since day one but just missed out the stages before the final ... I wonder how different Girls Aloud would have been with her in it now. Hmm ... she's quite obviously a skanky ho and a bit of a bitch but she had some pretty good songs. 'Real Things' was AMAZING. The latest news regarding her is she apparently appeared on Celebrity Come Dine With Me and came 2nd ... I have yet to see this but I must!
