June 24, 201015 yr bought this today after school, my rate: 10 ➝ Liberty Walk - excellent way to kick the album off. so catchy, especially the chorus. 10 ➝ Who Owns My Heart - again, suprisingly amazing. thought it was going to be very boring from the 30sec clip, but the verses are defintely better than the chorus, reminds me of selena gomez 'naturally'. 10 ➝ Can't Be Tamed - well, duh. joint favourite miley single ever. 09 ➝ Every Rose Has It's Thorn - for some strange reason it reminds me of avril lavigne 'keep holding on', quite emotional chorus. 09 ➝ Two More Lonely People - great choice of single. love the guitar in the verses. 06 ➝ Forgiveness and Love - think it's the worst on the album tbh. quite dull. 10 ➝ Permanent December - no wonder it's so loved  every single part of it is catchy, mainly the chorus. 09 ➝ Stay - great ballad, sounds a little like 'when I look at you' but better. not as good as 'the climb' though. 08 ➝ Scars - thought it would be better than this from the clip, but oh well. still good. 07 ➝ Take Me Along - alright, but not too keen. 10 ➝ Robot - wow  that chorus, she sounds so angry  very hard-hitting. 08 ➝ My Heart Beats For Love - nice closer to the album, not as good a ballad as 'stay' though. -- 8.8/10 loads better album than I expected really, loads of potential hits on there - in particular 'who owns my heart' and 'permanent december'. I'd rank the songs, from best to worst, as this: 01: can't be tamed. 02: who owns my heart. 03: permanent decmeber. 04: robot. 05: liberty walk. 06: two more lonely people. 07: stay. 08: every rose has it's thorn. 09: my heart beats for love. 10: scars. 11: take me along. 12: forgiveness and love.
June 25, 201015 yr I don't see the why Permanent Decemeber is loved so much! I like it, but there are other songs that are better!
June 25, 201015 yr ^ IMO the best songs on the album are: 1. Can't Be Tamed 2. Stay 3. Liberty Walk 4. Robot 5. Permanent December 6. Who Owns My Heart And I'd rate all of the above 6 as 11/10 or 10/10 songs!
June 25, 201015 yr Downloaded this album, based on it being at #1 in Jonjo's personal chart and the fact that I loved the Breakout album (even though I don't care for Can't Be Tamed). Pleasantly surprised on first listen, seems strong and memorable. Permanent December, Liberty Walk and Two More Lonely People are my personal standouts although some of the slower songs are nice too.
June 25, 201015 yr Oooft. Downloading it just coz it's my number 1? I feel priveledged to be some sort of influence to someone :heehee: But now, I fear I may have overhyped it a bit LMAO! :( My rank of the album: AMAZING: 01. 'Two More Lonely People' 02. 'Permanent December' 03. 'Can't Be Tamed' 04. 'Every Rose Has It's Thorn' 05. 'Liberty Walk' ----------- Great: 06. 'Robot' 07. 'Scars' 08. 'Take Me Along' 09. 'Who Owns My Heart' ----------- Good: 10. 'Scars' 11. 'My Heart Beats For Love' ----------- Meh: 12. 'Forgiveness & Love' The album is not wearing out on me  Wow. I'm pleasently surprised by this album, so many single worthy songs.
June 25, 201015 yr I swear I'm listening to this like 5 times a day, even Breakout only got about 4 spins a day when it first came out
June 25, 201015 yr Oooft. Downloading it just coz it's my number 1? I feel priveledged to be some sort of influence to someone :heehee: But now, I fear I may have overhyped it a bit LMAO! :( We generally like 95% (at least) of the same stuff, and I liked Breakout, so it was a combination of the two that led me to download it. I'd been happily ignoring this era after not liking Can't Be Tamed much, but it's far better than a lot of albums I've heard this year. Downloading on the same day as Aphrodite probably didn't do it any favours though in terms of how much attention I'm likely to give it
June 25, 201015 yr My rank n' rate: Song of the year territory: Liberty Walk Outstanding: Scars Robot Stay My Heart Beats For Love Every Rose Has Its Thorn Pretty damn great: Two More Lonely People Permanent December Can't Be Tamed Rather decent: Forgiveness And Love Who Owns My Heart Take Me Along It seriously is a massively accomplished pop album. Shame snobbery will stop a lot of people from giving it a go.
June 25, 201015 yr YOUR ROUND OF 15 CHART PREVIEW Shady’s back, all right. Eminem's sales continue to grow, and in our latest upward revision this morning, we're now calling the Recovery number 700-750k. That means the album isn't just a lock to top the first week of his previous release, Relapse, it's on track to be the biggest debut since AC/DC's Black Ice bowed with 784k back in 2008. With the weekend ahead, it's now just a question of how high it can go. Here are the seedings for next week's Top 15: * Eminem (Shady/Aftermath/Interscope) 700-750k Drake (Young Money/Cash Money/Universal Motown) 150-160k * Miley Cyrus (Hollywood) 110-120k * Ozzy Osbourne (Epic) 65-70k Now 34 (Capitol/EMI) 55-60k Jack Johnson (Brushfire/Universal Republic) 45-50k * The Roots (Def Jam/IDJ) 45-50k Justin Bieber (Island/IDJ) 40-45k Sarah McLachlan (Arista/RMG) 40-45k Lady Antebellum (Capitol Nashville/EMI) 30-35k Twilight Saga: Eclipse (Chop Shop/Atlantic) 30-35k Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers (Warner Bros.) 30-35k Lady Gaga (Interscope) 25-28k Usher (LaFace/JLG) 24-27k * Keith Sweat (Kedar Entertainment) 24-27k * Denotes debut You may now returrn to poring over your official FIFA rulebooks. Shame snobbery will stop a lot of people from giving it a go. nah, snobbery aside, it's a pretty terrible album. and i consider party in the usa an incredible song. permanent december is the only good thing on this.
June 26, 201015 yr Miley Cyrus might be pals with pop stars like Justin Bieber and she might make pop albums, but she says that when she goes home at night, pop is the last thing she listens to. Unless, that is, you're talking about Lady Gaga, in which case she's all about The Fame Monster. "Huge fan! That's my pop guilty pleasure. I love Lady Gaga," Cyrus recently told MTV News. "I think she's always herself to the full. I don't see anyone trying to put together her stuff — she does it herself. She's very creative, I think, just taking that upon yourself and knowing that the only way it's going to be done the way you want it to be is to be heavily involved." Cyrus admits that she really loves Gaga's whole image; it's not just about the music. "Even though she's a pop artist, I look at her videos and I don't see a squeaky pop singer or perky all the time," she explained. "Her stuff means real things, so she's cool. I like her." Not only does Cyrus admire Gaga, she also recently revealed her love for the late Michael Jackson. But that's pretty much where the pop music love begins and ends. "People are always like, 'What do you mean you don't listen to pop music and you're a pop artist?' But there's something about performing to those dance vibes that is so much fun," she said. "I work so much, so I like really chill [music] or just rock, you know, real, real stuff. But on my record I like dancing. I like performing pop music." ugh this bitch~
June 26, 201015 yr nah, snobbery aside, it's a pretty terrible album. and i consider party in the usa an incredible song. permanent december is the only good thing on this. I absolutely abhorr Party In The USA. Terrible song... Guess we're just bound to disagree when it comes to the new QUEEN of (brat) pop.
June 26, 201015 yr Miley said the songs she wrote on the album were about Liam :S They sound a lot more about Nick Jonas IMO... 'Two More Lonely People' has slightly grown on me, but only very slightly. I've also sort-of picked up that 'Who Owns My Heart' is the instant song that grows old VERY quickly...
