Good episode tonight :D I enjoy it when the writers remember Peggy and Pat's friendship. Great to have Mercy back aswell, Fatboy has become much more bearable these days and I think she'll add to that.

Surely this cant be Leon's exit storyline though? Unless him dying was quickly written into the script after it became clear the actor was $h!te -_- I kinda hope it is him they've hit though, if only for Peter to get a good storyline out of it.

The Peggy/Pat stuff was actually pretty enjoyable.

The teen stuff is not anywhere near as horrific as it should be, but Leon remains terrible. Fatboy has grown on me, Whitney's already proven herself before, but the rest are still very much disposable as far as I'm concerned.

First 15 were a bit meh but surprisingly it picked up. People have been rubbishing the whole teens in woods for weeks now but that wasn't bad at all.

Of course Leon is still awful but my liking of Arthur continues to grow. And finally Mercy! :cheer:

Loved Pat & Peggy scenes. Ugh, I'm really gonna miss their friendship.

Leon certainly has NOT 'got good'. Still wooden as sin. I really enjoyed tonight's though, I've never really minded the teens and their little escapade is a nice escape from the misery of the last few weeks on the square. Fatboy especially has been enjoyable. I'm not sure Leon's actually dead. It was probably just an animal, surely...

Leon appears to be written into Thursday's description as 'being reunited with his friends' so who knows?!

Who is Arthur may i ask

Arthur Chubb = Fatboy. Now Mercy is around I want more people to call him Arthur :D

Dump the name Fatboy the way they dumped 'Squiggle'. <_<

It STILL shocks me to think that they tried to make 'Squiggle' happen. Appalling.

I loved the episode, definitely wasn't as bad as what I've read some people are saying about it. And finally, Mercy is here! :cheer:

Fatboy was brilliant tonight, he's grown on me so much since he was first in it, I think Mercy should help him become an even better character! I wonder if it was actually Leon who got hit, I kind of hope it isn't because he became better recently.

Loved the Peggy and Pat storyline, their incredible together!

So apparently I'm the only one who found the teens in woods utterly dreadful?

yes u are i dont know why get so much hate love fatboy he is so funny and glad mercy is back great episode

May I ask who/what Squiggle is? 2007+ viewer here. :kink:

That's what Libby used to be called by Denise and Chelsea. For a reason I don't know.

Very good ep. LMAO @ Squiggle memories  I used to laugh every time they called her that. I actually like Fat Boy and Mercy is a great addition, loved her in E20
I didnt find the teens in the woods dreadful but i found it some what pointless but i am interested in what Peter hit at the end of the episode.
Tuesday's episode was so great. I can't wait for Peggy and Pat's chase after their man. It's going to be so hilarious. :heehee:

I'm not sure if Britain's Got Talent scored less viewers last night than on monday or what but EE did well to say it clashed with the biggest rating show on TV right now:

Monday: 5.07m BBC1 + 1.54m BBC3 = 6.61m

Tuesday: 6.24m BBC1 + 1.73m BBC3 = 7.97m

Corrie meanwhile totalled 10.519m viewers for Monday's 9pm episode kicking off Siege Week and got 10.025m (including HD and ITV2) for last night's. Obviously EE were never going to do big business this week what with the BGT clash and Corrie getting that huge lead-in but I think they've fared well (last night anyway).

EastEnders bosses are to refilm some parts of Lucas Johnson's story following the recent prostitute murders in Bradford.

During next week's episodes - which were planned months ago - man of the cloth-gone-bad Lucas (Don Gilet) was to be seen visiting a local red light district and picking up a call girl named Jade.

From there, he would drive her away to a remote location and force her to pray for God's forgiveness.

After she attempts to run away, Lucas gives chase and creating a ligature with his tie - as he previously did while killing his wife's ex Owen - he would then seemingly strangle the innocent girl to death.

However, following the CPS's decision to charge 40-year-old criminology student Stephen Griffiths with the murders of three call girls, EastEnders execs have decided to drop the prostitute link from next week's episodes out of respect for the families of those affected by recent events.

A spokesperson for the BBC soap told Digital Spy: "EastEnders storylines are written many months in advance and any similarity to real-life events is coincidental."

They continued: "However, on this occasion - to ensure we do not cause distress to the families involved in the recent tragic events in Bradford - we have decided to reshoot some parts of the storyline involving Lucas Johnson."

Affected scenes are currently being reshot at the soap's home at Elstree Sudios, Borehamwood, Herts ahead of transmission on Wednesday.

Yesterday evening, Coronation Street pulled its fourth episode of Siege Week following the shooting tragedy in Cumbria, in which 12 people were shot dead by a gunman.

Just read that. I'm really glad, not only because the families should be spared any additional grief but also because I didn't like knowing that Lucas was set to kill a random prostitute anyway - his story has never been about that. He's only killed when he's been under threat by somebody or something. Picking up a random hooker wasn't going to fit the story convincingly at all. GOOD NEWS.

In other news the delightful Jo Joyner (Tanya) is filming the lead role in a new three-part sitcom about female taxi drivers, called Candy Cabs, but she finishes filming next month and then returns to filming EE straight away so it won't prolong her full-time return. The one-off ep she comes back for airs either this month or next.
