April 6, 201015 yr Yes! Like others though, I would need to be told how to upload things. I am a bit of technophobe.
April 6, 201015 yr uploading is so easy. make a folder for the CD you make (all tracks and artwork etc), on PC right click and go send to: compressed file, once that is done and you have the .zip file go to www.mediafire.com click 'upload files' and pick your .zip file, then you get a link to it which you can give to people to download.
April 6, 201015 yr I got one from Ghosty last time. Most of it wasn't to my taste but there was one outstanding track from a band called Leaves' Eyes which led to me buying the album. Amazing  That was my foreign language playlist so there were lots of Eurovision related songs on there. I'm glad you found one great track at least. Apols for all the Ethnopop
April 6, 201015 yr I don't think I ever actually participated in this before. I'll give it a go. Yeah, same! I didn't think I could make a CD I'd be happy with myself ! But I shall give it a go ^_^
April 6, 201015 yr I'd be up for this. As I used to do this sort of thing at College with C90 cassettes. The thing is I might need some limitation as to how far I'm allowed to go back in time or to stick to a particular genre, as otherwise it could go all over the shop in terms of age and musical genre.
April 6, 201015 yr Great idea, I'll like to give it a go, but I probably need a bit of help, I'm not into mumbo jumbo techno person.
April 6, 201015 yr Yeah if someone can give technical advice, I'd be interested. I can't pretend my CD would be full of obscure alternative rarities, but neither would it be Lady GaGa / Saturdays / Britney etc. Probably a mix of random retro semi-hits, and album tracks / B-sides by half-established artists.
April 6, 201015 yr What are the technical issues? Drag the songs you want (in the order you want them heard) into a folder, right-click and zip the folder, go to an upload site such as Mediafire or Megaupload and upload, send the download link to Ben. (:
April 6, 201015 yr Author When I post the actual thread, I'll have a little tutorial on how to zip, upload, and send files. It's super super easy, trust me.

April 7, 201015 yr I'd be up for this. As I used to do this sort of thing at College with C90 cassettes. The thing is I might need some limitation as to how far I'm allowed to go back in time or to stick to a particular genre, as otherwise it could go all over the shop in terms of age and musical genre. Well I'm bored and have nothing to do so just flicking through my iTunes, I've picked out a few tracks I'd consider including and the oldest track dates back to 1967 and the most recent being 2009. ;) Sorry if there is a limit btw.
April 7, 201015 yr Well, for me, half the fun was not knowing whether I would like the CD I received or not - I got one from Hitstastic that was not to my taste at all but it was still just as fun to listen to in a way (sorry Hits but you know I was the last person that was suited to it :D - where as I'd have loved your Fused one, I got one full of pop/rap stuff if you remember). Yeah, I suppose it is. I mean, I don't mind if I liked what I received or not, it's more that most of the people taking part are a lot more obscure and know a lot more music than me. Stuff I might consider suitable could be a disappointing CD of 20 tracks they already knew. :( Perhaps I'll chuck on an old Bev album track/B-side/remix, that should guarantee at least one discovery. And don't worry about not being 'obscure' enough or anything; I'm not trying to make this super harsh and unknown haha. Maybe just try to stay away from obvious singles? Top 10 hits, you know. I'd love a CD from you Aaron, judging by my voting history with you in the BJSC. And like Dandy said, even getting a CD that isn't to your taste is fun. I got one full of dad rock hits from the 90's, but hey, it was new music. And I remember asking a few people to send me their CDs after reading some rates, that's totally acceptable and encouraged. Oh I know, I don't think even the most generic of Buzzjack user would send a CD of big hits in something like this, that's almost a given. It's just finding something you lot won't have heard seems difficult. Oh yes, but did you discover anything you liked through my BJSC entries? (perhaps Video Villain? I'm doubting much else)
April 7, 201015 yr Last time I did this on CHC I did a purely instrumental cd and the recipient had a tough time reviewing it. Count me in. I'm trying to think of a theme. Edited April 7, 201015 yr by tonyttt31
April 7, 201015 yr Probably a mix of random retro semi-hits, and album tracks / B-sides by half-established artists. mine will be very similar
April 7, 201015 yr I'd love to take part in this. My music taste is quite varied, which I guess is good though it'd mean I'd have to think about making a cohesive CD. ^_^
