Brilliant for US! But why do I get a horrible feeling it'll be out completely by next week? :( Hope not though.

Also, OOI, how is everyone here pronouncing "Aphrodite"? Are you guys saying "Afro-dite" or as Kylie pronounces it "Afro-di-tee"? It annoys me the way Kylie's been pronouncing it :heehee:

Ya its a great position and i think its her 3rd highest US album, is that right?

2nd highest. Her highest was Fever at number 3. Her first album got to number 53 and Body Language got to number 42.

Isn't it supposed to be pronounced afro-di-tee?

Isn't it supposed to be pronounced afro-di-tee?

yes thats hopw you pronounce it

Is it really? That's on par with Tyron being pronounced as Tirren :(

I say Aprodite, rhyming with bite

Jonjo, get to the Killers forum and post in some of the topics :P

I am up with my Greek :D i am reading a novel based on Greek tragedies and a greek play called The Baccahe.

It's hard to know how to pronounce all the names so i make them up :heehee:

The final new arrival in the top 20 is Kylie Minogue's "Aphrodite," starting at No. 19 with 18,000. That sales figure triples what her last studio album "X" started with when it debuted and peaked at No. 139 in 2008 with 6,000. "Aphrodite" is also the pop diva's second-highest charting album -- only 2002's "Fever" was bigger, as it bowed and peaked at No. 3. Its fortunes were bolstered by its lead single: the No. 7 Billboard Hot 100 hit "Can't Get You Out Of My Head" ... On the Billboard 200, she's also charted with "Body Language" (No. 42 in 2004) and "Kylie" (No. 53 in 1989).

Well done, although i can see it falling.

I have read on Sayhey that she made #8 in Canada :o TrUE?

#3 Austria! Album is doing great!

Wondering why this is doing some good bussines while X was an 'ok' succes..

The big global tour for X2008 (and the US tour) has really helped her profile I think.

I guess!

Some countries I expected it to do good (UK, Australia etc..) but some I didn't! Example, here in Holland ATL flops and promo has been zero..still, the album becomes her biggest charting album :o Not that I'm complaining ;)

I think the timing and concept couldn't have been better, people like 'poppy/dance' Kylie and the project seems well handled.

yeah its number 8 in Canada

Very pleased. :D

When will the actual billboard chart be published, as things can change slightly.

Billboard have confirmed that it's #19 on the BB200 with approximately 18k sold.
