I don't think they should. After all, the charts reflect what people buy. You can't just stop a song from charting because it is centre of a campaign.

Yes, their goal was to beat us in the charts but when it became clear that wouldn't happen they changed tactics to ensure we wouldn't reach No1. Funnily enough I realised after coming here that was unlikely so was hoping just to get as high as possible, ssssh don't tell the Celtic fans though and let them spend their money :)

I don't want to get into a big them and us debate on a music forum but I will repeat what I've already posted on here. The Rangers campaign was set up to raise the profile of Erskine Hospital for ex-servicemen & women, when it became clear Rangers could win the league this week the people behind the campaign exploited this to get the Rangers fans to download "The Best". The song is the unofficial anthem of Rangers and was adopted by Erskine Hospital for their recent fundraising appeal.

 

The Celtic fans was purely in response to this and was designed to stop us from achieving No1, although they inadvertently gave the Rangers fans campaign more publicity!

 

It's was for a good cause!

What that is so childish its about time the official chart company ban these campaigns

 

A lot of them are annoying, but they should definitely not be banned. It would cause so many problems.

Why didn't they allow the B-sides to chart? Umbrella was hovering around on iTunes from #17 to #30 for ages. :unsure:

Yeah, actually, I never understood why Umbrella didn't chart. I think they should change this.

 

At least the Big Top 40 Show would chart B-sides. :D

I never got why they wouldn't allow B-Sides to chart. Maybe it'd get Artists working harder and giving us more for our money too, by giving us these amazing B-Sides. I have no worries in thinking that if Diana released her CD Tracklisting to iTunes, then she could have gotten quite a few more sales. (Maybe not exactly the same as the CD tracklisting as that would completely kill off the CD single, but give us an iTunes bonus B-Side or something :()

FYI Celtic fans were originally downloading YNWA to stop us (Rangers fans) from getting "The Best" to No1, when they realised that wasn't working they all switched to downloading Usher as he was ahead of us.

I think Lady A could shock a few people. It'll do a "'Battlefield'" imo. But I'm still certain Roll Deep will hit the number 1.

The songs get released to UK iTunes on the Monday the episode airs. At 0.01 or whatever daft number it is :lol: Same time as albums get added.
