Yay :dance:

Let's just hope the weekend effect doesn't force All Night Long down.

There aren't any major releases this week, are there?

Yeah I don't think we'll get a song as popular as 'Poker Face' or 'I Gotta Feeling' this year tbh.

2009 was seriously a crazy year music-wise. The sales were incredible. GaGa and BEP (and Beyonce as well - scoring 4 top 10s all selling over 300k) had a phenomenal year. :o

Out of interest, has anyone heard the new Katy Perry single - California Gurls.

It's her answer to Jay-Z's Empire State of Mind. It's really cool. I'd say it's Katy at her best and a I Kissed A Girl 2.0. :wub:

Keep waiting for Ke$ha to start singing the chorus to 'Tik Tok' or Kylie 'Love At First Sight' :lol:

For Your Entertainment :up: 42!!!!

:w00t: It's got a new lease of life.

Although i really like the track, i'm yet to buy it so if it climbs to near #30 or maybe #35, i'll buy it. :P

This year's I Gotta Feeling is OMG.

Oh yeah true. Although I think that'll sell more similar to 'Boom Boom Pow' tbh.

Yeah. I mean Lady Gaga and the Black Eyed Peas, both got 3 number-ones, and all 6 of those songs have sold over 700,000 copies (not to mention, those 6 songs were also in the top 10, like for ever). I find that quite incredible.

OMG is doing very well though. I think it could sell 500,000, maybe even 600,000, which is very decent.

Bad Romance is this year's Just Dance

Fireflies is this year's The Fear

Replay is this year's Number 1

Telephone is this year's Poker Face

:D

As said we are awaiting this year's I Gotta Feeling. It could be Katy's new single :P

Edward Maya is released. Also, according to a few rumours and stuff (I dunno how true it is) Eminem's newy is released to iTunes too.

I think I'll also start Christina's weekly "'Not Myself Tongiht'" will be added this week :kink:

There is actually a David Guetta song that sounds like a mixture of 3 Black Eyed Peas songs (well, most songs in the chart do nowadays). It sound like a mixture of Missing You, Boom Boom Pow and I Gotta Feeling, and it features Fergie. The album version is in the top 200 on iTunes at the moment. I don't think it'll be very popular though. It'll probably just make top 10, but it could be this year's "I Gotta Feeling" in the sense that it sounds similar.

If Lady Gaga manages to get a song from her new album out before the end of the year, I think that could get mega sales.

I'd p*** myself if that was true. :D

Katy is going to be HUGE this year! She's the original of the unconventional late-noughties pop stars. :lol:

I still think Thinking Of You deserved more commercial success. :(

By popularity bars it looks like Candy is getting closer to OMG! :)
I don't think it'll be QUITE as big as 'I Gotta Feeling' lol. :P Glad it's doing well though, love this and 'In My Head' but absolutely haaaated 'Whatcha Say'.

I pretty much agree (although I didn't hate 'Whatcha Say', just found it mediocre). I'm kinda coming round to liking him. :o

so;

Edward Maya

Fugative

and possibly;

Eminem

Christina

with the (unlikely) possibility of B.O.B. surfacing at some point next week. I reckon this time next week, the iTunes top 5 will look like this;

1. Edward Maya

2. Jason DeRulo

3. Roll Deep

4. Usher

5. Fugative

With Eminem low top ten, maybe lower, if he's released and B.O.B at #1 or #2 if he somehow surfaces early. Jason could even stop Edward Maya from getting to #1, I can't imagine Stereo Love being the sort of song that would gain a substantial lead and Ridin' Solo is gaining quickly.

Yeah. I think Edward will be one of those number 1's on iTunes, but not number 1 officially. Ironic if he's stopped by Jason DeRulo really. Seeing as it happened to Jason with 'Whatcha Say' :P ooft. How did I forget Fugative? :drama: It deserves to be big. Pees all over Chipmunk's last song, which for me got old quickly, very quickly.

Quite possibly, I wouldn't be at all surprised if Jason jumps to #1 next week and Stereo Love ends up at #2. Unless anything comes out early, or we're severely under-estimating Fugative, I reckon that's next weeks top two anyway officially. I like Crush, although I don't love it, but I'm with you on Chipmunk. Oopsy Daisy and Look For Me were both far superior for me, as I said in your chart thread a few weeks back when Until You Were Gone was top 5 for you for like 5 weeks or whatever :lol:
