Peacock is awful. Calling a penis a peacock is hardly subtle inuendo. It's like something a child would find funny.

If Peacock is released as a single, radio would not touch it. Rude Boy may have been full of innuendos but Katy actually says

Peacock cock cock

and there's no way around editing that for radio without making it sound ridiculous.

You never know, they managed to edit Lily Allen's "f*** you, f*** you very much" by "Thank you, thank you very much" or, even worse, "[animal noise] you, [animal noise] you very much". So actually editing "Peacock" would be rather simple in comparaison

LOL no, I didn't say it wouldn't be simple.. I said it would sound silly.

Unless Katy recorded a cleaner version, however they edited it - it would sound silly.

They censored Dirty Picture (by replacing "Take a dirty picture" with "Take a, take a ditty picture"), so I'm sure they could work something out with Peacock.

well that was only with Ke$ha's lines and even Radio 1 reverted back to the original version at some points.

Why are we even DISCUSSING the need for Peacock to have a radio edit? There's no sense in Katy releasing what so many artists do far better. But then, I DID say that about California Gurls so...yeah. Still, why go through the headache of releasing something like that when there's so much better on offer? Firework is the obvious third single, I reckon.

I like this album. It's a solid album, very little obvious filler but very little which screams out 'AMAZING, HIGHLIGHT OF THE YEAR' aside from Teenage Dream, or, at a stretch, Firework and Hummingbird Heartbeat. I can sense this is going to be one of those albums that I enjoy but won't be able to stand in about three months due to the mindless overblown stanning over it, which is already putting me off the album a little bit. Frankly, a good pop album with no obvious awful tracks makes a great popstar. It doesn't make the popstar of the decade or the album of the year.

Thank goodness 'Firework' is the next single. It sounds so epic, and the video should be a blast. They should follow it with:

ET

Last Friday Night (TGIF)

This is now officially my favourite album EVER. Everything about it is just EPIC, 'Firework' is definitely my favourite song from the album.

So how many albums have you heard in your life-time? To be able to say this is your favourite ever, just a few days after it leaked

In russian 'peacock' also means penis too but it's disappearing from speech

anyways, Peacock is AWFUL. Oh DEAR. So far only Teenage Dream, E.T. is 9/10 and Firework is 9.5/10. The rest is 6.5/10 and worse.

Listenable album with three obvious highlights.

COME ON

It's been leaked all of half a week!

Exactly. Other than California Gurls, Teenage Dream and TGIF, the rest of the album is BORING. The melodies are forgetable and the lyrics are cliché after cliché. And the production on this sounds like she didn't know whether to be Ke$ha or Kelly Clarkson, and has fallen into some lame-o sound inbetween where the guitars sound like they're being played on a keyboard.

Noticed that the UK has a more censored version of Teenage Dream video out. Not as many hot scenes with Katy and the guy. Shame!

I haven't listened to all the songs yet, managed to resist but I ADORE E.T

'firework' is the third single? that's awful news. :(
it is the best news as it's one of the stronger tracks on the album.
I love 'Firework' :D Thats great news! 'The One That Got Away' / 'Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F)' / 'Pearl' / 'Peacock'. One or more of them should be singles too though!
