Katy reminds me alot of Rihanna this era. Not that their music is very similar, but Rihanna's Girl Like Me was moderately successful, a bit like Katy's One Of The Boys era, yet her Good Girl Gone Bad was a complete breakthrough and made her into the huge megastar that she is today, and I reckon Teenage Dream will do the same for Katy.

The cover is horrendous with text! :(

I hope the text-less version will be an alternative sort of cover. :( I've done the same for Ciara's 'Fantasy Ride' album, used the back page as the cover :lol:. Or at least I hope HMV have a special pull-out sleeve thing for it, with the text-less version.

'Teenage Dream' is AMAZING! :wub: It clicked with me on first listen and could possibly challenge for my favourite song of the year! :o :wub:

I quite like the "Katy Perry", but the "Teenage Dream" really needs changing.

 

And I really don't get all the "Teenage Dream" hype. There's something about it I'm not getting. Certainly prefer "California Gurls".

Loved 'Teenage Dream' from the first listen. :)

 

I'm hoping there will be some songs like 'If You Can Afford Me' and 'I'm Still Breathing' on this album.

I know its quite early to predict but i'm excited about it :dance:

 

Atm, i reckon US - 200-220k, UK - 80-90k, WW - 400k maybe hehe, i'll change them once the release date draws closer :D

That's a $h!tload better. Album covers without text only work on 'hipster' sort bands IMO.

 

However, still a crap cover and I wish they'd have used a new concept. I know this isn't a still from the CG video but it's an old idea.

 

I like the single cover for TD.

 

And the song itself - well, :wub:. I don't get why Katy can't release good (IMO :P) songs as her first singles. I hated IKAG and CG, but HNC and TD are brilliant. (So is WUIV, and TOY is pretty good also)

Well apparently sources on DS it will be released physically in September in the UK but also I have been hearing what you have been saying.
