Sophie, N-Dubz, Glee Cast [LAP], Kevin Rudolf and Biffy Clyro are out of the top 40 from last week's chart
I wish National would be number 1... the first true masterpiece of this decade.

Now you can all stop whinging about Alexandra not making Radio 1's playlist.

It's like I've said before - being an X Factor winner means she has huge airplay elsewhere, and tv appearances, so Radio 1 are right to give other artists a chance too.

What has happened to Diana Vickers, I really thought she would be a huge seller.Radio 1 have been playing her, interviewing her non stop since her promotion started but it seems she will stuggle to sell even 200k singles or albums.

Overcome really needs to get a move on, I hope it can hit double platinum soon.

I actually don't think 3+3 is too much of a drop for Vickers, it would have been nice to see her retain the top spot, but after sales were so low last week, it was pretty unlikely.

I think the second single, The Boy Who Murdered Love, is much stronger, it's started picking up airplay and it can't be far off being released. So hopefully that'll prolong her sales a little bit more.

Quite happy for Keane as well, didn't think Number 1 was within their grasp, after the single tanked. Hope they can hold on to it.

oh whoops I placed Plan B and the Foals wrong way round, Plan B are sandwiched between the new entries.

In all honesty, I'm surprised she's sold as much as she has of both singles and album. I've seen too few new fans to make an impression. Most of those who didn't like her affectations on XF haven't been turned onto her by song that they may like sung by someone else. She's relying hugely on her XF fanbase but good luck to her. Not many are as lucky as to still have them sticking around a year and a half later.

Anyway what she has sold is great by today's standards, particularly singles-wise.

I don't see Keane holding on, or having an impressive overall total either for that matter. Irrelevant band now much?

Clearly not.

I'm guessing Adam's Album is no longer top 40...?

Surprised the single is and the album isn't as the album seemed to be shifting a lot quicker than the single on Sunday and yesterday.

Itunes album sales are low though comapred to the physical market and its basically the opposite for singles so - even though he was hovering around 11-15 for most of the weekend it prob wouldn't translate into huge sales unless people are heavily buying the physical too

It be interesting if Roll Deep can hang on for a third week, it seems Aggro Santos is gaining momentum, from the MW mid report. From a chart point of view, I like to see another act climb to the top, rather than having new entries appearing at #1 on debut release. I wonder if Aggro Santos could take Roll Deep on, sales must be pretty close within the top 3 surely.

Yes, I know. It's pretty much the opposite of singles (which in this instance is not available) but I was actually referring to physical sales of the album, according to the people in the office who would know - but they could have taken Saturday sales into the total by mistake I suppose.

Great for Alex, :) still no Overcome though!!

I hope this single does boost the album. I wasn't too keen on Broken Heels myself so not surprised the album took a dip after it.

:cheer: for GaGa's remix album! Have yet to pick it up, may go and buy it later in the week. Hope it climbs during the week

Christina taking off :cheer: Be gone haters and doubters who said it would flop. You were wrong !

And  at Alicia's Platinum Collection heading for top 20 ?

Glad Adam is top 30 in singles, shame about albums, surely he is close to Top 40

I'm not surprised at Diana's album replicating the pattern of the single. The reasons for their #1 status are the same. However, I didn't expect her to make anywhere near #1 on either the singles or albums charts so however she's achieved it and with whatever numbers, well done.

I'm really pleased for Alexandra. I hope it reflects in album sales again.

Keane irrelevant? Yeah, OK ..........................

As for Adam, it's a shame the physical albums sales of Saturday haven't been replicated on Sunday or Monday but with so many physical sales these days coming from supermarkets, any albums not being stocked by them are at an instant disadvantage.
