Posted May 15, 201015 yr Predict the chart peak of Kylie's stunning new single "All The Lovers" ;) State the exact chart position you think.
May 15, 201015 yr I seriously hope it's number 1  one of my favourite songs of the year so far, brilliant comeback. it'll probably be top 3 though.
May 15, 201015 yr Haha, I've just realised what this melodically reminds me of thanks to Britain's Got Talent - Chasing Cars! Obviously a much livelier danced up version, but I could literally sing every lyric of it on top of the All The Lovers backing track and it would fit perfectly! I must find an acapella of Chasing Cars and try and make it myself - luckily I have one part already - the instrumental to All The Lovers; ZbuXF2yT_kc I predict #1 for this - I'll be optimistic!
May 15, 201015 yr Clearly it will go (at least) Top 3. But I'm not OMG it's amazing .... blown away with it.
May 15, 201015 yr I'd say top 3 minimum, hopefully #1. Have Radio 1 ever premiered a single and then ignored it? Even if they have, I don't expect them to ignore this, so with it having Radio support, and it being Kylie, it will obviously do well
May 15, 201015 yr It's a lot better than I expected actually. Certainly an improvement on '2 Hearts' and 'Slow' if we're going to compare lead singles. However, I've voted top 5. I'm not sure if Kylie still has the public buying power to get to no. 1 especially with singles sales on the increase. 'All The Lovers' does have the potential to be a UK no. 1 and depending on what's already selling well the week before release will determine how well this does.

That's really acurate GD. I was just thinking of the vocals to 'Chasing Cars' and singing the melody in my head as I listened to the instrumental. Only thing is Snow Patrol's song is slower and in a lower key so you could do a "Scooter" and have helium vocals over the top, or pitch the instrumental down to the key of 'Chasing Cars'. Either way it'd definitely fit - whether it'd sound good is another thing.
May 15, 201015 yr Top 3 Not really that impressed by this song, it feels all too bland for a lead single
May 15, 201015 yr Not blown away by it much either. It's ok but she's done better. Doesn't really go anywhere either. Top 5. I predict no.2. Edited May 15, 201015 yr by Rob Summers
May 15, 201015 yr I heard this on Radio 1 yesterday- I really liked it, classic Kylie really :D Number 1 very likely, if not certain top 3
May 15, 201015 yr As a Kylie fan, I would love it to be #1 but the song will be up against Tinie Tempah and we all know how he blocked RiRi from #1  So I think that might happen with Kylie. :( Top 3. #2 to be more precise.
May 15, 201015 yr I know I'll get a bite here... But the song is weak especially for Kylie standards and reminds me of... the UK Eurovision entry of this year! If Sophie Ellis-Bextor released this song it would struggle to get top-75. But for Kylie I'll say top-5, maybe #4 peak as '2 Hearts' had. ... and the poll is really biased, even Kylie isn't safe from the flop.
May 15, 201015 yr There's no way on earth a Kylie lead single would miss the top 10 or anything that drastic. Whether she can still get multiple top 10 hits from the same album now remains to be seen, but I hope so!
