May 21, 201015 yr Author The Baseballs version? I know I shouldn't like them, but I LOVE them. They remind me of The Cartoons without the Eurodance beats... I completely see where you're coming from with that  No wonder I find them so tragic!
May 21, 201015 yr I'm stuck between these two songs. xN0FFK8JSYE&a=iRA1T9wkVDg&playnext_from=ML NQXVzg2PiZw I'm leaning more towards 'All Around Me' but 'Sunshine' makes me re-consider every time I listen to it
May 21, 201015 yr Heard it so many times that it's not funny/shocking anymore. SOZBBZ. ODEAR. Gonna have to go down the Katy Perry route then. :(
May 21, 201015 yr ODEAR. Gonna have to go down the Katy Perry route then. :( Not if the banlist has anything to say about it :funky:
May 21, 201015 yr Not if the banlist has anything to say about it :funky: JK. I have some dignity. I think. IT'S ALL ABOUT THE SWEDES POUR MOI.
May 21, 201015 yr Author Some tweaked provisional dates, leaves a week for the banlist which is maybe a bit long, but think of it as a slightly longer break/catching up with the 'schedule'. Otherwise every other stage is just open for far too long. May 24th-May 31st (6pm): Banlist voting open May 31st-June 15th: Banlist results (7pm)/Artist reservation open June 7th-June 15th: Song confirmation open June 15th-June 26th: Final voting June 27th: Final Results
May 21, 201015 yr Not if the banlist has anything to say about it :funky:There's still always 'E.T.' when 'California Gurls' gets banned.
May 21, 201015 yr I propose allowing entire album bans and artist bans for this run. Just for emergency months when EVERYTHING simultaneously amazing and cheap gets leaked all in one go.
May 21, 201015 yr Author The banlist could really do with some adjusted rules this month. I'd suggest having the *option* to nominate up to 5 songs for banning this month as there's so much ground to cover. Anything that doesn't get banned with this measure in place really wouldn't be cheap enough to worry about.
May 21, 201015 yr Author I propose allowing entire album bans and artist bans for this run. Just for emergency months when EVERYTHING simultaneously amazing and cheap gets leaked all in one go. Who will be formulating this list exactly? The only two artists really screaming to be blanket banned, or at least era banned are Katy Perry and Christina Aguilera. And will we be sticking with 3 nominations or do you want to up it to an optional 5?
May 21, 201015 yr I'm not sure people would still seriously consider "California Gurls" or "Dancing On My Own", now they're on the radio 1 playlist but I suppose I could be wrong...

And will we be sticking with 3 nominations or do you want to up it to an optional 5? Perhaps one nomination for era banning and a move up to the optional five? I'm assuming you wish to formulate it - I'll give you the option of announcing songs as they're banned or not.

Ok that sounds good - rules this month will be as follows if this sounds alright; 1 nomination permitted per person for an era ban of any artist (which is of course option and not compulsory) - 3 votes required for banning 5 nominations for any other songs although this will be optional and any nominations from 1 to 5 will be fine. Editing of nominations until the banlist clousre date will be permitted too. - 3 votes required for banning HOWEVER, I'm not going to announce songs as they're banned because that might just lead people voting later to nominate things that aren't really cheap just to fill in the blank spaces

I'd still prefer to keep it anonymous until after the voting window's closed, if only because increasing the threshold from 3 to 5 allows more chance of this happening.
May 21, 201015 yr Liechenstaan Thanks to everyone for the votes in Bjsc26 and yay at us finishing 16th (I think)! :cheer: Anyway, next contest I'm probably going to be sending Jessie James with 'Boys In The Summer'. It's kind of country-pop, but I really like it! ^_^ There isn't a video on YouTube yet, but I'll post it when there is one. Watch this space for more info on Bjsc Twenty Seven!
