I hope your right there. I hope they do two singles before the album drops, please oh please! Therefore more chance of #1s etc. It was only about two weeks when they were writing with Alphabeat so hopefully that means they're still working on the album and wont be released in time for the summer - therefore they can release it in their usual November-ish slot. :)

I know. If they release in November then that'll be 3 albums in 3 years. I know they're manufactured pop but surely some amount of time needs to be spent on an album? I'm worried it'll just be a case of their label looking for B-sides and rejected singles and plonking them on the new album (*cough* Not Good Enough, Forever Is Over). :( Ideally they should be doing a re-release of Wordshaker.

 

AND THEY BETTER NOT RELEASE IN OCTOBER! November - January is where the sales start rocketing. I remember Alicia Keys got 56K with a #17 album last December. :o And yet last October you only needed about 25K for a #9 album. If they release a massive thumper in summer which does well then release another upbeat song at the end of October with the album following then they should be fine. It's all about the lead single. 'If This Is Love' and 'Forever Is Over' bombed, yet 'Ego' and 'Up' have sold over 275K each. Two singles should be released as well before the album.

After initially being against a new album, i hope that's now the case.

 

There needs to be another up-tempo single to precede the album in November and then a ballad/mid-tempo released in January to keep the album sales flowing for the first quarter of 2011.

what i mean is that you can sing the lyrics and melody for up over the backing for one shot and vice-versa - its identical

when will we actually hear this single, im geussing last week of june first week or seccond week of july (: hopefully LOADS of promo! and lots of airplay and it being played to death on music channels could end up with the saturdays first ever NO.1 SINGLE :wub: exciting!

I can actually see the similiarities between Up and One Shot now. :P You could easily sing "ready to be in control" over the "all I am is all for real" (or whatever the lyrics are) part. Plus the "one shot, one shot" part is similair to "up, up", and the "tell me straight, your eyes are flickering so tell me straight" is identical to "go go go, it's time to make a move and we both know" part.

Yeah. Nobody was slating them for doing it (I don't think - 'eck Cascada are one of my fave groups :heehee:) People were just saying how they can/can't see the similarities, although it's alot clearer now thanks to Shadow's breakdown of it haha. Although, I still think 'One Shot' sounds more like one of Britney's best singles (IMO) 'Stronger'. :P

aye awrite pipe doon! i mentioned it in the light of One Shot being a single and I said that's prob the reason it wasnt one and it shouldn't have been one. Its a brill song nonetheless! I agree I love cascada too but everyone pop group do it at some point esp wiorking with the same producers :P

Aha, it's just clicked what that meeting may of been about at ITV the other week. Maybe they're gonna get a slot to perform on BGT? They did Miley Cyrus tonight (also signed to Fascination) so fingers crossed for The Sats. Pixie Lott also performed last week and both have been very good live wise, not a note out of tune - hope The Sats can keep this running.
