They're all off to Bangor today by the looks of it. What would they be doing there now?

Oh of course yeah! Franikes performing with Kids In Glass Houses and Rochelles doing some reporting

The festival EVERYONE's talking about is literally only hours away and the excitement is just oozing from our pores!

Frankie's getting set to perform with Kids In Glass Houses, and it's fair to say our girl is a tad nervous without the rest of the Sats performing around her. Make sure you stop by her stage to show your support!

And of course Rochelle will also be at the event as she takes on the role as 'roving reporter'! We can't tell you exactly where she'll be (we don't even know ourselves!) but she'd love some company... so watch out for her too!

And why not help us support both girls by building up even more hype for this weekend through Twitter? All you have to do is re-tweet #FrochelleBigw/e to get things rolling. It's that simple!

See you all at Radio 1's Big Weekend!! x

Yeah. The reason 'Wordshaker' flopped horribly was because of the disastrous first single. Had they lead with 'Ego', they would have had a number 1 single and a Top 5 album imo.

I do think there's a lot more to the last campaign failing than just 'Forever Is Over' being the first single. The album had two big hits and 'Ego' became a bigger hit than the first and that still did nothing to shift the album. For some reason people just weren't interested enough in them to buy an album, which is weird after having a platinum selling album a year previously. The interest just wasn't there. 'Ego' was more than a big enough hit to save the album, it just didn't and I'm not sure what difference it would have made when it was released. Also do you really think 'Ego' would've got to #1 over Chipmunk?

I hope they can turn it around this time, they still can.

I personally think if you didn't see the advert on ITV or them performing on Channel 4 for that Holyoaks gig, no-one would of known it was out. Lack of promotion killed the album, not that no-one was interested. If no-one was interested why did the first single get to #2 and sell a considerate amount of coppies, and then the seccond single turned out to be their seccond-biggest hit...

What I said is nobody was interested enough to buy the album, although yes they were willing to buy the individual singles.

Im adding The Sats being there to the list of reasons why Im a bit gutted I went on the Saturday instead of today to Big Weekend. Suprised they all went though, despite not performing.
'Ego' at the very least brought the album from the mid 100's to #37 for a week. Sure, it's not much but it showed that if the promotion was there and management quickly capitalised with a ballad (Here Standing???!?!) then album sales might have improved. Maybe not platinum, but it could have hung around the top 100 for longer than 9 bloody weeks.

^ Wordshaker climbed to 37 from 58 that week btw :)

Ego did great and hung around for a while but I really wish they'd got one more song out before moving on - if that is what's happening now :drama:

I think it's now the next best thing to confirmed were heading for album #3 now tbh. Rochelle on R1 today seemed certain the Taio Cruz collab was for a new album and no one metioned a re-release.

I just can't help thinking they're were tons of single opportunities with Wordshaker.

Wordshaker

One Shot

Here Standing

Lose Control

They all could have been pretty decent singles.

Oh right good, well at least theres some confirmation.

I must admit I am worried but we'll see what happens.

I know we said this with the second album but this is really make or break. Hope Missing You is amazing! :w00t:

Yes! Or else we shall be missing The Saturdays!

(egnore the pun lol)

I think there's a chance management have learned from the mistakes with Wordshaker and should hopefully do things right this time. Releasing Missing You in the summer and hopefully the album will be relesead off another single in the autumn would correct really the major mistake made with Wordshaker.

Why do I get the feeling the track will start on some O.T.T vocodered vocal "I wont be missing you, missing you, you, you I-I-I-I wont be missing you, missing you, you, you"

Completely agree. I think they took it for granted they could pull off such an amazing album (which it was) with very little and limited promotion.

I'm glad they've chosen the summer to release their new single because it ovbiously has to be something that will get alot of play time over the radios and clubs, since it is the summer afterall.

You never know if this song is a smash, people might get more intrested in the sats and go out and buy wordshaker, i just hope they release the single then wait and release another then the new album!

just dont do a FIO then release wordshaker the next week! (:

The first album sold ok though because they had 5 fairly big singles from it (with the exception of work) and they were spread out over a period of time while the album continued to shift in modest copies. They have only released 2 singles from the 2nd album and often the 2nd album is harder to maintain unless you have a good strong lead single, which was lacking in this case.
