June 5, 201015 yr Just got around to watching the episode and I thought it was brilliant. Wasn't it supposed to be focused mainly on Quinn and Tina though? I felt really sorry for Rachel at the end. :(
June 5, 201015 yr Also, what does the girl from the Vocal Adrenaline say in the end? I can't decipher it :( Oh and one more thing - I'm not sure actual pregnant women can do what Quinn-can't-sing did (and those girls in the solo number too) Something about them [VA] being autotoms or whatever. It was mentioned in an earlier scene by someone else.
June 5, 201015 yr I didn't really like Quinn's song :( I felt like when she tried to do the really powerful parts that James Brown did, she was shouting :/ And her voice came out a bit strained... But i do like the meaning behind it and the reason why it was used. Overall though I didnt like the idea of a funk themed episode.. It pretty much belonged with the episode that had Ice Ice Baby and Cant Touch This tbh lol... It's supposed to sound shouty/strained :heehee: I personally <3'd it.
June 5, 201015 yr Author This episode was brilliant, I really felt for Rachel with what happened :( Quinn's 'It's a Man's, Man's, Man's World' was amazing. (surprise, surprise :heehee:) I liked the songs alot more than I thought I would too. 'Loser' has gone up in my estimations after seeing it. I didn't like it much before, but now I can tolerate it haha. But, yeah recently, they've been pretty much spot on in terms of getting the right mix of Story and Songs.
June 5, 201015 yr Not my favourite episode it has to be said. Songs wise Another One Bites The Dust and Its A Mans World were very good but the others not so much. Oh, actually Loser wasnt too bad either but wasnt Terri suppose to sing that? Good to see Terri back though. I hope she pops up again on a few occasions and they continue the storyline with Fin. Major lack of continuety though with Rachel and Jesse, no explination as to what happened between them and he wasnt mentioned in the last episode at all, felt very sorry for Rachel through the episode though.

I agree, at the start when it was previously on Glee, Jessie's left new directions  ? when was that
June 5, 201015 yr It's supposed to sound shouty/strained :heehee: I personally <3'd it. From Quinn's point of view, yes :kink:  For me... Quinn would most shine on a.... Britney record tbh.
June 6, 201015 yr I agree, at the start when it was previously on Glee, Jessie's left new directions  ? when was that He left after the whole 'Run Joey Run' incident, although I did a double take too. The only reason he came back to McKinley High at all after spring break was to get Rachel to find out about Shelby. Edited June 6, 201015 yr by Daniel Gleek
June 6, 201015 yr He left after the whole 'Run Joey Run' incident, although I did a double take too. The only reason he came back to McKinley High at all after spring break was to get Rachel to find out about Shelby. It was confusing though and not laid out properly imo. Sure he left after the RJR incident but then he came back and we know it was to get Rachel to find her mother but there was no leaving scene or anything after that was there? Unless you count the car scene where Shelby tells him once this is all out in the open he can come back to where he belongs? Confusement. P.S I no longer love him after that egging incident and who would name their frickin child Shelby for God sake!? :/ Edited June 6, 201015 yr by Gramii
June 7, 201015 yr A contender for the worst episode since Episode 2 IMHO. Poor/silly plot lines; and not very good song choices/performances.
June 7, 201015 yr I've got to say I actually really enjoyed it. I didn't buy Sue Sylvester falling for Will so easily, but it was fun enough. And I'm ashamed to say I loved Good Vibrations and Loser. I never thought it, but Puck was the star performer today!
June 8, 201015 yr James Brown - It's A Man's, Man's, Man's World Beach Boys - Good Vibrations Rufus ft. Chaka Khan - Tell Me Something Good Queen - Another One Bites The Dust As most people probably know by now, it wasn't the Beach Boys' "Good Vibrations" that was covered, it was the song of the same name originally by Marky Mark & the Funky Bunch. -- Richard
June 8, 201015 yr A contender for the worst episode since Episode 2 IMHO. Poor/silly plot lines; and not very good song choices/performances. Are you being serious? :o Queen, James Brown & Rufus all in one episode, amazing! <3 I thought the storyline had great comedy value, as well as for the first time ever, making me feel sympathy for Rachel. As most people probably know by now, it wasn't the Beach Boys' "Good Vibrations" that was covered, it was the song of the same name originally by Marky Mark & the Funky Bunch. -- Richard Yeah I'm aware of that. :heehee: I saw the song names posted under the video on youtube, and copy & pasted it adding artist names to it without actually giving the songs a listen.
June 8, 201015 yr Loved it  Brittany messed up after Sue's bed-in  It's A Man's, Man's World was really the only amazing song tho  Best quote of the ep: "I'm so depressed I've worn the same outfit twice this week"
June 10, 201015 yr So is there actually a proper explanation as to why Jesse went from hating Rachel to helping her find her mum to throwing eggs at her? I still don't get it. :( Also, I wasn't paying attention, what is it Rachel says that makes Will come on to Sue? (but yeah, the first episode with no songs I wish to hear again. I like the Rufus/Chaka number, but not Will.)
