Miley Cyrus 'doesn't like Glee'

WENNMiley Cyrus has said that she doesn't understand the popularity of Glee.

 

In an interview with Billboard, the 17-year-old admitted that she finds the show unrealistic because of its musical format.

 

"Honestly, musicals? I just can't," she said. "What if this was real life and I was just walking down the street on Rodeo Drive and all of a sudden I just burst into song about how much I love shoes?"

 

Cyrus also revealed that she is a big fan of Lady GaGa.

 

"Unlike a lot of artists, all her music does mean something to her personally."

 

Now considering this is the woman who gave us such 'delights' as Hoedown Throwdown and Cant Be Tamed you have to laugh at the hilarity of her not understanding something's popularity.

This is what I don't get. Wasn't her whole Hannah Montana thing sort of a musical? That article is also laughable, because she says she doesn't like Pop music or something, but her music is different because it means something to her or something daft like that... IT'S STILL POP MUSIC! :mellow:

 

Ah well. People are entitled to their opinion of the show, so I don't hold that against her, it's more the silly reason as to why she dislikes it which is annoying :lol:

Exactly, she clearly has no idea what Glee is about, and most likely, hasn't even watched it before.

She needs to go to College. She's in urgent need of education.

Someone's bitter her drib-drab show isn't the most talked about 'musical' anymore :heehee:

I'm not hating on her because she dissed Glee. I just find her a frankly appalling individual who has unleashed some of the worst tunes upon us in recent years that would even make Britney Spears cringe at the vocal talent [i use Britney as a lot of people see Miley as Spears The 2nd Generation]. That and she has a DIRE personality.

 

Plus Hoedown Throwdown. I will shoot myself if I ever have to endure that song again. :/

 

'Glee' pisses all over Disney's awful attempt at musicals so up yours y'all.

Alphabeat: 'Glee has no place on charts'

 

Since the US musical comedy series premiered last year, the show's cast have notched up no fewer than 40 UK top 75 hits - with covers of songs by everyone from The Beatles to Amy Winehouse to Lady GaGa.

 

However, Alphabeat singer Stine Bramsen admitted that her enjoyment of the show has been affected by its overwhelming chart success.

 

"I do find [Glee] quite entertaining, but when it started getting into the charts I started not respecting it anymore," she told DS. "It's a fun series and many people will relate to it and so on, but re-recording old hits, in my opinion, is not something that should be in the charts."

 

Her bandmate Anders SG added: "Because we were linked to High School Musical, a lot of people who don't know much about our band probably link us to Glee too, which is probably why I don't like it very much."

 

However, Alphabeat also revealed that they would not be able to prevent the Glee cast from covering one of their songs - even if they wanted to.

 

"The thing is, they can just do it. You know, we weren't asked when the finalists did that big thing with 'Fascination' on The X Factor," Anders SG explained.

 

"It would be fun to see how they'd do it, because it's always really cheesy when people cover that song," added Bramsen. "They'd earn us money by doing it I guess, so they're welcome to try!"

 

 

Bless Alphabeat. Thinking the Glee producers have even heard one of their songs.

 

I've never quite understood the annoyance at the Glee records charting tbh. Obviously several make the top 75 but the effect on the top 40 has been limited, a quick look on Wikipedia tells me only 14 have made it in and the majority only last a week or so....

I agree. Although I can see why they're maybe annoyed, when they're producing and writing new material and stuff, but tbh, it's no different from songs being sampled or being covered (XFactor winning single stylee). It just seems that Glee are over exposed, because they have so many covers..

Poor Alphabeat are a bit jealous that a TV show can rack up more top75 hits in a week than they ever will :(

 

 

Everyone apart from them and TomKay knows that they are a one song pony.

Miley's probably pissed that when Glee said they were going to cover the Climb they forgot to mention they were going to further its reputation as a laughing stock :heehee:

Alphabeat stopped being relevant the moment their one and only top 10 hit left the chart :kink:

 

This happens all the time whenever their is a big pop culture upheaval. Remember when Britney went looney and every Tom, Dick and Mildred was queuing up to offer their $2 worth? It's a classic example of nobodies or has beens trying to latch onto what's huge atm to raise their profile before a new album release [Miley Virus] or remind us that they do actually exist [Alphabeat] :heehee:

That made Alphabeat sound quite jealous because they haven't done well in the charts recently. :hehe:

 

The only Alphabeat song I can see Glee cover is 'Fascination', but that will never happen because I doubt the producers have heard of them. :kink:
