I don't think this one is anywhere near as good as Party In The USA or See You Again.

See You Again and 7 Things are my favourites from Miley, not even vaguely interested in anything she's released since, including this song.

BGT really helps, Alicia up to #5, Miley up to #9 & Pixie up to #14! All great climbs.

Anyone know whos on the next few shows?

Tonight JLS ..Cue the " I hate JLS " "Their song is so crap" posts.. think I may have to avoid this thread tonight hmm

Tommorow - Dizzie Rascal and James Corden World Cup Song - Not sure if its actually been confirmed yet though. Read it in The Sun

& then I'm guessing Susan Boyle.. & if they do actually end up having 3 performers which I really doubt.. then they might have Usher

So happy to see Miley in the top 10, her performance was brilliant! Hopefully it should stay there for a top 10 position next week.
Does anyone know why Evanescence are almost in the Top 400? #402 to be precise for Bring Me To Life... Weird! :o I guess some random play on radio/TV boosts :heehee:
Do you really think Start All Over was better than The Climb, Party in the USA, When I Look at You, etc? Oh well, that's your opinion. Still, liking 3 of her singles is actually quite substantial since she didn't had that many.

Honestly though, I don't get the hate for Party in the USA. It's a catchy fun song, a TYPICAL Dr. Luke (TiK ToK, Hot and Cold, California Gurls, etc etc etc) song. Start all Over and Fly on the Wall, THOSE were weak singles in my opinion.

I've never even heard 'Start All Over', I was talking 'See You Again', '7 Things' and 'Fly On The Wall'.

Don't be silly, that will all come when their single is releaased on iTunes. ^_^ :P

But if it's true that they don't even attempt to mime at the chorus and just dance around during it, I might have to release my frustration out in here.

So pleased that Aggro and Kim are still going strong!

I'm not a Miley fan but I do like CBT so I'm glad it's doing well.

I'd have thought it's the kind of song that could get to those heights very easily, it's a classic and is still very much remembered by the general public. It may be something as simple as it getting a few plays on the music channels.

I agree with this. I think PITUSA is my favourite Miley track. Its very hooky, brilliant production.

The Climb is really good too, miles better than Joe McElderry's version.

7 Things is really good too, I liked the performance she gave on X Factor a couple of years back, blew Britney (on the same show) out of the water.

I'd put Can't Be Tamed after those three, although it might go higher if I start listening to it more instead of focusing on her other assets :P

Like Jonjo though, I can't stand Hoedown Throwdown, although I will admit watching the video every now and then :D

Miley is going to hit #2 I think .... :cheer:

I sooooooooooo hope so! :w00t: Its about time she got a sizeable hit here after a decent set of single/album chart performances!

Does anyone else miss the summer of 2006 music-wise?

We had Nelly Furtado breaking through, Shakira hogging the top spot, Alesha debuting, Stacie Orrico returning (yes, I liked her 'I'm Not Missing You'), Maria Lawson debuting, Orson being around, those novelty dance acts (what's the one with all those children in the video - ...Party?) and Christina and Rihanna smashing (Unfaithful ).

Btw, this random post was triggered off from me listening to Sandi Thom's 'I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker' again.

Wish we had another song like that. So unique!

Oh and for the record:

What If I'm Right > IWIWAPR. :P

hell yeah! i remember it mostly for the kooks, james morrison, paolo nutini and the feeling who i really loved at the time but i also think i miss it cos of how hot it was in 2006 and how good a year it was in general

Amazing to have Miley in the top 10! :w00t:

As much as I despise Miley Cyrus, she's another non-urban entry in the iTunes top 10 and that should count for something. I still consider "Gettin' Over You" a full dance song so that makes 2 non-urban entries now.

Alicia Keys's song is far from urban. It's contemporary R&B/soul...

Oh, and Miley singles (although I love most of them :kink:)

'Fly On The Wall' > 'See You Again' >>> '7 Things' >>>>> 'Can't Be Tamed' >> 'Party In The USA' > 'When I Look At You' >>>> 'The Climb'

Yup, it's been confirmed as Simon Cowell's project, and the public can get involved with the chorus on the BBC Radio 1 website. :)
