I believe Kylie may actually go top 3, especially if she hasn't fallen too much in time for Jono Ross performance this coming Friday :D

I can't see it getting her a new peak, but she'll surely benefit significantly, given the nature of JR's audience.

K'Naans lead increasing :o

I really hope he gets to number 1 tomorrow or next week

Doesn't seem likely though.

1. He's already used up 4 weeks sales.

2. He'll be facing Katy Perry in a battle I can see no way in hell he can win.

Ahh, Gonna be a hell of a week though.

I bet California Gurls is gonna storm to the top from midnight tonight.

I don't suppose anyone takes note of how quickly such songs reach #1? I know some have done so before midday Sunday.

THis leads me to wonder exactly when is the best time to release, to maximise your chart peak?

ISTM an argument could be made for midday Saturday - that way the build-up pretty much complete by Saturday midnight, allowing you to begin the chart week already very high in the charts. If you release at midnight on Saturday though, you're effecitively giving at least half a day's start to already released songs.

The physical release date was brought forward and was already been released this week (14th) ;)

Wow, really? I've never heard of it. And it's weird considering that the physical release hasn't set the sales on fire. 32k on Tues midweeks was exactly what the song could get on downloads only, and I doubt that physicals for it were sold THAT bad.

It's number 1 on the physicals chart: http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=113021

Plus HMV has it on the 14th: http://hmv.com/hmvweb/simpleMultiSearch.do...ubmitSearch.y=0

BTW it is not a wonder that the physicals sales hasn't set the chart on fire. Physical sales are so low, they are almost invisible now

Two weeks ago Danielle Hope was number 1 on the physicals chart and she ended up outside the top 50 in the official chart. (The week before when she was higher it was due to the download sales, but she dropped fairly quickly on iTunes)

of course its not likely, the song will plummet when the World Cup is finished and it doesnt stand a chance against CG, tomorrows its last chance and even that looks unlikely

Well, I will remeber it as a 'shoulda been' number 1 :kink:

Ah OK then, thanks! :)

The non-existence of physicals is not the case for charity records though (see 'Everybody Hurts'). That's why I'm impressed that it didn't sell that well.

Nice to see Keri lingering around the bottom Top 40! :D Hopefully it has another week or two left in it! (Video's started to get regular play too )

Oh and Rob, I hope you mean you think they'll go straight in at number 4 on Sundays chart next week? :kink: Straight in at 4 on iTunes, is pretty unreachable :heehee:

Go Paulette!

Interesting to see an eight year old Oasis track go top 10 (even if it is from the second Greatest Hits compilation).

2 hours until California Gurls is unleashed! :kink:

"So hot, we'll melt your popsicle, oh uh oh uh oh uh oh uh". :D

I see Scissor Sisters are released tonight. I see it going in at 4 for some reason which is good.

I think that's fairly unrealistic, seeing low top 10 for them, sadly :( But the album will be #1 :)
