Posted April 30, 201015 yr jvyxNksnwd8 Very 808's and Heartbreak~ Really good though, I'm seeing him live in July as well :cheer: Edited April 30, 201015 yr by Jonjo
April 30, 201015 yr Love it. One of my favourites from Drake, might even prefer it to 'Over'! :o I can see the 808s comparisons (especially the backing music and the 'hey hey' parts), but apparently it was produced by Kanye, so I guess that explains why. Really can't wait for 'Thank Me Later' now.
April 30, 201015 yr OK. Cool. I was gonna merge it with the 'Over' thread. But seeing as it is second single i'll leave it. You can all get back to discussing this awful artist. :kink:
April 30, 201015 yr So is this 808 leftover actually going to be a success for him? I (rather unsurprisingly) am not keen.
April 30, 201015 yr Yeah, it definitely sounds like an "808s & Heartbreak* leftover, but an extremely good one. Even though it sounds like a b-side to "808s", it's still got a real fresh sound. The chorus is great and memorable. "Over" is still rising, and proving to be a hit (which many did not predict), but I thinkt his could do really well on Pop. Still don't prefer it to "Over" but it's still brilliant.
May 5, 201015 yr Official album cover: http://allthings-fresh.net/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/drake-thank-me-later-allthingsfresh.jpg MUCH better than the covers for 'Over' and 'Find Your Love'. Still, not as good as the 'So Far Gone' (Mixtape) cover imo.
May 5, 201015 yr Is that cover a joke? Literally looks like it was done on paint! Suddenly I've got a whole new appreciation for the Find Your Love cover art.
May 8, 201015 yr #14 on U.S. iTunes. I'm not really feeling the artwork for "Thank Me Later". I agree with Jark, it looks really cheap. It won't kill my anticipation for the record, though, as I also think this could be a contender for album of the year once it's released.
May 8, 201015 yr Why does it say debut album, wasn't So Far Gone his debut album  SFG was a mixtape. "Drop the mixtape, that s**t sounded like an album"
May 8, 201015 yr SFG was a mixtape. "Drop the mixtape, that s**t sounded like an album" O really? That really did sound like an album. What's the difference? btw SFG = So Far Gone & Scouting For Girls
May 8, 201015 yr I really like Drake. :) Can't wait to hear this album and I agree, the artwork for the singles & album have been terrible.
May 8, 201015 yr Dan, which date are you seeing him? One of my pals is on the verge of securing standing tickets for a HOT price, but I'm not sure which of the shows they're for. Whatever happens, I'm gonna be there.
May 8, 201015 yr Cool man, yeah, you know Drizzy's gon' be slaying! It'll be crazy. I'm excited and I haven't even got tickets!
May 8, 201015 yr Author I'm also in the stalls, so I'm right by the stage. The "theatre" is really nice, small and convenient. I've downloaded his mixtape, I'm not his #1 fan, but I am loving his music.

Is it similar (in size) to the Hammersmith Apollo? I saw Weezy last year at that venue, it was bigger than I anticipated, but was great. The atmosphere was off the chain. I was a fan after discovering his "So Far Gone" mixtape, but it wasn't until I heard "Fear" (which is on the "So Far Gone" EP released last year on U.S. iTunes) that I became a real follower. The delivery of his lyric, the versatility, the flow, everything about the guy is just epic.
