Most likely another 6k for Headlines this week. Prices are all down on Headlines though now (a little late but at least they're getting the right idea now) so it will most likely keep selling at a steady rate. However, I don't expect to see sales like this that they've had at #88 etc now that Christmas is over.

I'm glad to see it on the rise and i hope the £4.99 Will help sales increase.

Before would have been nice, but just after, is just as nice too... considering people (like myself) who have HMV gift cards and money and stuff may want to purchase it.

I hope that the go up in the album charts, They weren't in the top 100 last week, so like higher both will go up !

But you can't really tell what their chart position will look like, using Play and iTunes. HMV is the main contributor to the albums chart, and iTunes barely help an album in the chart.

I'm not saying that, I'm stating the fact that It was nowhere to be seen in either chart. Now they are seen in charts and will sell more in hmv due to the 2 for £10 and the £4.99 in Hmv.. So i think they're guranteed a rise to even 60-80.

The album has been missing from the hmv chart for a few months now; I think that stock is limited in hmv stores hence why sales are not too great; otherwise they would have had a sales increase this week.

^^ The magority of album sales come from physical coppies that your purchase in a shop. Only 12% are baught digitally (ie via iTunes, HMV etc).

they were playing the expanded version of Headlines in the HMV in colchester today. I thought it was Wordshaker at first as i heard Lose Contorl then Deeper (forgot about Not Good Enough :P) But then the flo version of Higher came on, and I was like oh that makes much more sence.

I was in HMV the other day looking at the CD's and the radio was on...( I have no idea what station was on, but I'm sure it was Irish accent) when I heard, 'After the Break, we'll be playing The Saturdays new song.....'' soooo, I stayed in the shop just to hear it. - Then it came on, 'Puppet'. There was a girl beside me and she said ''OMG, that's such a good song!!' Then the presenter said 'That's the Saturdays new song 'Puppet on a String' - Due for release on Feb 21st... Has it been confirmed anywhere? :/

No, that hasn't been confirmed anywhere yet, not on the Release Schedule nor an official confirmation from The Saturdays.

If this is true, I would have hoped for it to have been 'Karma' or 'Here Standing'.

Oh crikey. If that is true then get ready for all the mimed performances and dodgy/cheesy dance routine. That would have been my last choice for the next single though. I too would have gone with a Here Standing/Died In Your Eyes/Karma affair.

I really like puppet, Tbh i think they should release here standing, to help their album and tour.. they will sell alot during their tour with it being so cheap.. Headlines will defo reach 150k.

I was shocked too when I heard this - It has a strong chorus but the verses, I feel, aren't good enough :( I'm not sure if they will or will not have a third single. I think it would be perfect if they did have 'Karma' or 'Here Standing' (two VERY ifferent singles) and the single would collide with the tour, which would be perfect. We'll just have to wait and see.

Headlines will definately cross 150K which is great considering when it was first released everyone hoped it would get 100K, it's done better than expected. :)

I read about that OCC had a bug in their system and Sundays chart had to be re-run meaning alot of the releases in the bottom end of the Singles and Albums chart were most likely to be different. They reported it was to do a with basically a supermarket not submitting sales or something like that...

'Headlines!' is #43 this week; up 44 places from last week :D

 

Obviously sales would not have increased to the extent of the top 50 positions last week, or maybe not even increased at all. However, there are a lot of albums below this that were much higher last week.
