Lady GaGa has reportedly decided on her new single.

 

The singer will allegedly release 'You and I' as the fourth track to be lifted from her multi-million-selling album Born This Way.

 

The track was produced by AC/DC collaborator Robert John Lange and features electric guitar from Queen's Brian May.

 

It also samples the beat clap from Queen's iconic hit 'We Will Rock You'.

 

GaGa included the song as part of the setlist for a number of her final 'Monster Ball' shows, which came to a close back in May.

 

A video for the single is currently being filmed in Springfield, Nebraska in the US, where onlookers claim to have seen GaGa perform the track with a piano in the middle of a cornfield.

 

The 25-year-old performer recently revealed that her father hired a stripper to teach her the piano when she was younger.

Video apparently directed by Laurieann Gibson.

• A ton of freakshow people including Bionic Gaga, Mermaid Gaga, a “Sno Cone Man,” etc.

• Gaga will be playing the piano in the middle of the cornfield with Jo Calderone* sitting on top of the piano and watching Gaga.

• Gaga and Luc kissing in the cornfield at night as fireworks go off. Luc pushes Gaga down and runs away.

• Luc’s El Camino, Ginger, is on set.

• Gaga getting married inside the barn.

• Dancers doing choreography in the crop circle made in the field.

• Jonas Morales rumored to be directing the video.

• Part of the video was filmed in LA and today is the last day of the video shoot.

• Will be released in Early August.

 

Also, there's a rumour that the song has been remixed to be more uptempo.

Remixed to be more uptempo? Please don't be true, it'd probably ruin You & I and would just make the choice even more chronically baffling. I mean the only redeeming feature of it being a single (though it's a great song) is that it's her first ballad single. If it's remixed to be uptempo, we might as well get Marry The Night, Scheisse or Americano...

As nice as 'You and I' is... That's all it is. I feel that Gaga needs something cutting edge for her fourth single such as Government Hooker or Americano. Americano screams summer and it sounds very Europe inspired, but it is quite similar to Alejandro. Government Hooker I'd imagine would have an amazing dark video but it isn't really radio friendly. Marry The Night should be the fifth single as there is little chance of that flopping I'd say. Bloody Mary is also a highlight but I don't see it as single worthy.

 

I just don't know why she's gone for Y & I after Edge of Glory. Hopefully the video will push it to the top 10 and then 'Marry The Night' can smash in the Autumn.

Already bored of 'Yoü & I' now. I'd just love it if on the day of the release the single ended up being 'Highway Unicorn (Road to Love)', really beginning to get into that song now, would be a great single choice. Very summery, and I could see it doing pretty well. It'd be even better if it were 'Heavy Metal Lover' though. :wub:

I would die (of happiness, of course) if it was Heavy Metal Lover :wub: It's clearly You & I though, great song but would be her weakest single yet by some way :( Yes, even below LoveGame (which is actually easily a 9/10 for me).

'Yoü & I' is officially the fourth single! Just confirmed by Lady GaGa on a radio station in Nebraska.

I think it is a pretty unexpected single, considering many fans were expecting 'Scheiße'. I don't mind about the song being a single too much now, I've listened to it more recently and it's summery song. :D Let's hope it will do well and the video isn't a disappointment.
