FINALLY FINALLY caught up with this and what the HELL.

Spencer being Mary Drake's daughter and being shot (!), Toby being killed off (?), Noel Kahn's head being chopped off (!!!). Amazing.

This show is such a mess but I think I love it now more than ever.

I started watching this in June and have been obsessed since. I've just caught up now.

It's a bit of a mess sometimes but utterly enthralling, Spencer Hastings may be one of my favourite TV characters.

Disappointed that it's finishing next year seeming that I've just got into it. :(

Not the most exciting start to the ENDGAME but at the same time, it sets everything in stone.

I'm at the stage now where I'm like ffs just hurry up and finish, Idec anymore which is a shame because this show did have a lot of potential and was SO good at one point. I blame Marlene as in the hands of a better writer it would probs be so much more incredible and not have been dragged out so long :unsure:

Janel is a f***ing incredible actress, that is all I have to say before the final episode next week as I don't have a clue who A.D is. For a split second I thought it may be Caleb just from the scene with him and Mona in the cafe place or whatever but probs not

Don't think I'll be able to watch it until after work tomorrow so I'm going to have to avoid allll social media 😫

Ok I was 3 episodes behind but just got the gist from recaps and went in as I wanted to wtch the finale live, so I am probs confused at bits but:

 

That was INSANE and overbaked but that's par for the course with PLL, I'm actually happy with how that ended (as in for the girls, the actual story) after how much of a drag season 7 I was in all, but from my Twitter I seem to be alone in that :lol: That was a good enough twist for AD for me, given the Twincer theory prevailed quite a bit, and as I said, being that insane and overbaked is what you expect at this point. The happy endings that I wanted to happen, happened - I f***ING WEPT AT EMISON!!!! I loved the end scene with the wedding, I think that should have been the actual end just to make it all happy with Emison together, Haleb expecting, Ezria just married and Spoby reconciled, but I also liked that Mona got a last life and is still psycho. The actual end scene though... legit why? :lol: Are they gearing up for an Addison spin-off becuse that would be a shite idea, I get it came full circle to the first scene of episode 1, but eh why... Anyway, all in all, given season 7 in general I am MUCH happier with that than i expected to be. I lowkey thought it would end up being some half baked "Aria went crazy and is actually Uber A" shit, or someone really random like Paige :lol:

 

Also Troain's performance was f***ing INCREDIBLE in this episode.

At least all my OTP's ended up together in the end.

 

Also I'm definitely NOT looking forward to another spin-off, Ravenswood was a MESS, and the only redeeming thing about it was Luke Benward.

I knew it!! I knew Spencer had a twin! I genuinely thought it would be Avery Drake but I'll settle for Alex.

 

There were so many Easter eggs in these last 10 episodes that it all made sense!

Also Troain's performance was f***ing INCREDIBLE in this episode.

 

She really is a great actress, I hope she gets some good roles now this is finished. However, she needs to work on her accents :lol: Alex sounded more like a kiwi than a brit.

 

Now that it's all finished I'm tempted to binge the entire series and see if it all makes sense or not haha.

I thought 'Spencer' chatting with Wren at the airport was weird and seemed so disconnected from everything else but I didn't pick up on anything else. Especially the Toby encounters as Spencer seems... quite in tune with her sexuality lol.

Omg that episode was surprisingly great :o I thought I'd be disappointed but actually I quite like how it ended/who it turned out to be, even if it was a bit ridiculous, Alex's accent did kill me tho :rofl:

 

I'd actually read this theory before and the person said how the Spencer at the airport and with Hana wasn't actually Spencer but I still don't know how anyone even guessed that :o I never even questioned the Spoby scenes either tbh. Troian really is a great actress aside from the accent :')

 

Emison getting engaged!! I wish Emily didn't ruin the plan tho as it would have been nice to see the big romantic thing Ali was gonna do, I also wish Haleb weren't arguing for the majority of it too. I feel bad for Mary, like what's she done to deserve to be locked up with Alex? :(

 

I think it should have ended after Mona's bit, we didn't need the "full circle" bit at the end, there was enough clichés through the episode anyway

 

Also f***ing Marlene interrupting the wedding with her phone ffs :lol: :lol:

Ah, that was the first episode in ages which kept my attention! So many fab moments - the wine mom queen's tho!!

 

I am happy with the whole AD theory and feel it is a much better reveal than A was. The mona scene at the end was fantastic *.*

 

If there is an Addison spin-off, it will flop, she was such an unlikable character so I doubt anyone will care

In all honesty, it's painful how underused Mona actually was! I know she ended up getting all the main parts considering she killed Bethany and Charlotte but I still feel like the girls needed to provide her with more love.

 

I'm happy with the A.D reveal, A.D didn't actually torture the girls and I feel like it was a decent enough explanation and the Wren diamond scene was rather iconic.

 

I'm just distraught how much they've ruined the Alison I loved and adored! Although her proposal scene was ❣️ (Mainly cause the pug shirt) I still would have preferred Alison to have had the twin or Charlotte, it would have linked back all to season one.

 

Also wtf at Melissa being so underused, also weird to see Jenna being a hero too!

Also Mary ffs 🙄 Bitch you should have sided with Spencer!

I wish I hadn't read the Spencer twin theory already, it would've been such a shock otherwise!

 

So many cliches (and Troian's British accent is honestly one of the worst things I've ever heard...dreadful) but I was happy enough with it overall. It seemed to take forever to get into the action though this episode. There's probably loads of things that don't tie up but I've honestly forgotten 99% of what's even happened in the last seven seasons so I'm not really bothered. That last scene was horrendous, definitely didn't need that! I think it should've ended with Mary and Alex in the dollhouse.
