July 6, 201015 yr So you keep saying, but I keep going back to the track with your words in my head and I really can't see anything special about it :( Even Loving Days and Chocolate would be pretty sub par on a stronger album, like Aphrodite, but in the context of Body Language, they're amazing. Listening back through all of her Parlophone albums/b-sides, these are the songs that were missed opportunities for singles imo; > Your Disco Needs You (instead of Please Stay) > Love Affair (double a-side with In Your Eyes? I don't know, but it was too good to be missed somehow) > Made of Glass (either instead of Giving You Up or as a promoted double a with it) > White Diamond (I really think the unreleased uptempo studio version should have been released as a proper non-album single around the time that the Showgirl tour came out) MOG is one of Kylie's finest monets and deserved a place on Ultimate Kylie Closer sounds like a Muse song. Is that a good of bad thing? Closer is one of the best on the cd
July 6, 201015 yr Closer is probably one of my favourite tracks on the album....can't stop playing it!
July 7, 201015 yr If aphrodite keeps selling strongly it will outsell impossible princess in its very first week, shame imposssible princess hasnt sold more as its a terrific album.

July 7, 201015 yr He is not hated... forgotten oh yes. Although he's one of ma fav acts of the last decade, it's absolutely Syco's fault - they have not promoted him enough. I believe there's an appropriate saying here.. something about 'not throwing good money after bad'.
July 7, 201015 yr Thanks for the estimate. While I bow down to your amazing phD in sale-ology, its not impossible is it? In the sense that 'nothing's *impossible*', yes - however... I mean usually people sell 2.5-3.5x their first mid I think, and its technically only 1 day + pre orders for her though I'm sure they're hefty. Don't think she'll quite hit the 100k but it seems possible even if odds off ... the proportions I've heard quoted for scaling up initial sales across a full week, have related only to download singles. While front-loadedness obviously varies byboth artist & genre (urban tends to be less front-loaded), I've found a figure of 2.5x their initial sales gives the best estimates. Not to mention underestimates tend to less the chance of disappointment. Edited July 7, 201015 yr by vidcapper
July 7, 201015 yr I hope we get a sales update again tomorrow to see how aphrodite is doing, id be totally gutted if she lost the number 1 later in the week but im hoping she is far enough ahead to prevent that happening. There is no way, barring the untimely death of some major star, that a lead that large would possibly be closed.

July 7, 201015 yr Author Thanks for the update. Firstly where did the Rock Choir come from  it wasn't in yesterday's mids Secondly If anyone has sales info for Kylie's album for today, please post, sales info will be appreciated. Thirdly don't forget the Radio 1 mid update chart after 3;30pm Fourthly Shout is OUT of the top 40  That makes it Diana Vickers and Dizzee/James Corden the fastest singles this year to freefall, after peaking at #1
July 7, 201015 yr Im so surprised kelis - 4th of july is so low! I was expecting a top 10, at least a top 40! Shes being played on radio 1! I dont get it, its a great song!
July 7, 201015 yr can someone please tell me where miley cyrus in singles and albums??? hope she is still top 40 in both! go miley :bounce: x

July 7, 201015 yr Fourthly Shout is OUT of the top 40  That makes it Diana Vickers and Dizzee/James Corden the fastest singles this year to freefall, after peaking at #1 It's actually up from yesterday - it's at number 38.

The video for it is actually the first video by Kylie I have seen. Maybe I had seen 'Spinning Around' too previously but I didn't remember it. YAY @ 'All the Lovers' staying at 4+3 :) I wish JLS a fall to #2 or #3 even if it is not going to happen. I like 'The Club is Alive' but I smell a disastrous chart-run for it and no way I want a number one with the chart-run 1-5-14-27-39-53-OUT! The chart-run 2-5-14-27-39-53-OUT will definitely look better in my eyes. Edited July 7, 201015 yr by Arrs
July 7, 201015 yr YESSS! Drake Top 40  'Find Your Love' is amazing. YAY @ 'All the Lovers' staying at 4+3 :) I wish JLS a fall to #2 or #3 even if it is not going to happen.
