I'd be a bit surprised if Inna got snubbed, after "Hot" did quite well, making the top 10. Esmee Denters is a surprise too, given that it also features Justin Timberlake.

Muse has been A-listed forever. I think it's about time it was removed. They aren't keeping songs based on when the movies are out, but the release dates of the songs themselves.

As for Inna, guess she's not an artist R1 loves no matter what.

Ellie and Marina again both songs will be lucky to go Top 30.How many more rereleases are going to be added, even more rubbish than usual.
Or maybe AATW - 3Beat paid for playlisting 'Hot' and thought that after success of it R1 would playlist the follow-up too but it didn't happen. :P 'Amazing' is going to join the unfortunate club of those potential hits gone flop mostly because of Radio 1.
And WHY get rid of Muse just as the film comes out? I wouldn't have been surprised if they re-entered the top 40 butt there's no chance now :(

Did last weekend's screenings actually have much effect on the song? :unsure:

Sort of, it reclimbed on the airplay chart, not sure about sales.

Poor Vanessa (Amorosi :P) :( I wish they'd move the release back, not that it will do it any favours, when Radio 1 have made up their mind not to playlist something that's it. Is the video even on music channels though, I at least though Chart Show would play it. Gutted for Donkeyboy too although it was expected.

Donkeyboy should be ALL over Radio 2... And yeah, Amazing would be amazing, but Stromae would be incredible. Wishful thinking I guess.

Surely its a week too long for K'Naan? I love the song, but due to the Coca-Cola advert its very much a 'world cup song' and with England out the hype has definitely gone.

Can't believe they're ignoring Adam Lambert, its a great song IMO

I too am surprised about them refusing to playlist Inna, her first single was a big hit and this is SO much better. :(

I prefer Hot myself actually, Amazing has always lacked something for me. I like it but I like her more fast paced songs like Hot and Deja Vu.

I'm going to see Eclipse on Friday but is the song played in the film or just the end credits? It'd be fantastic if they included it in a scene like they did with Supermassive Black Hole.

Good to see Commander hold on for another week :D Shame it never went A-List though.

I was kind of hoping they'd playlist Esmee but Admit It did flop baddly so fair enough I suppose. Bit gutting about Adam Lambert though. Interesting to see Paloma moving up, im interested in seeing how well this actually does second time round.

I prefer "Amazing". I really don't like "Hot" :(

It's played during the

Graduation Party

, and actually incorporated into the movie. Angela actually says something like

I love this song

as it comes on.

The songs in the credits are "Eclipse (All Yours)" by Metric, "Heavy In Your Arms" by Florence + The Machine and something else.

Isn't 'Hot' pretty much the same tempo? They sound almost the same to me, just 'Amazing' being tons better.

Yesss! That's awesome ^_^ I doubt it will help the song that much but who knows.

And I personally think a lot of these dance artists release the same song over and over. Definately the case with the two Inna ones I've heard and countless other artists in the same vain.

for me, Amazing is far and away her best song, a feeling shared by numerous people I know. But that's beyond the fact, the first single was a big hit, I expected them to support her 2nd single at least.

I find it funny when people refer to one song as being "slower" than another when it's technically faster. Eg; 'Meet Me Halfway' is considered slower than 'I Gotta Feeling' but is actually slightly faster. :lol: ('MMH' is 130bpm to 'IGF' 128 bpm in case you're wondering :P ).

2008 = September

2009 = Agnes

2010 = Inna

It seems every year there is a European based female act who scores one big chart hit then struggles to capitalise on their new found success with the second single.

I'm surprised the Gorillaz haven't been playlisted yet.

With what? I thought "On Melancholy Hill" had already been released...
