July 7, 201016 yr Roll Deep, Ellie and Jason are all excellent additions this week :D Should I be getting worried about the lack of Stromae or is it too soon yet?
July 7, 201016 yr Tinchy, Ellie, Roll Deep and Jason! :D Wonder if they'll playlist The Sats or not this time round. Wouldn't surprise me too much if they didn't in all honesty.
July 7, 201016 yr Why is Paloma Faith on the B List? Wasn't that track released a year ago  theres a new version released with a rapper in it, very pointless, but it will be released
July 7, 201016 yr Why is Paloma Faith on the B List? Wasn't that track released a year ago  We had pretty much a 3 page discussion on it last week. I hope Tinchy flops with this and fades away into obscurity, so talentless.
July 7, 201016 yr I hope Tinchy flops with this and fades away into obscurity, so talentless. agreed. there's so many rappers better than him that get hardly any recognition. :( nice entries this week, especially ellie, jason and the hoosiers. Edited July 7, 201016 yr by DougJames_
July 7, 201016 yr Should I be getting worried about the lack of Stromae or is it too soon yet? I wouldn't be "worried" but it just seems ridiculous that such a massively popular track in so many different countries looks set to bomb in the UK...because it's not in English. -_- Actually, I'd be more happy if they started playing the track on 6 Music. :D (6 Music - the new Radio 1 :P ).
July 7, 201016 yr So they don't add Adam Lambert AGAIN but add a pointless and awful re-release? Plus I like All Time Low but aren't they constantly on the playlist? It never does ANYTHING for them though  Edited July 7, 201016 yr by Painbow (Grami)
July 7, 201016 yr So they don't add Adam Lambert AGAIN but add a pointless re-release? Not only that, but it's the third reissue I've seen on Radio 1's playlist since January - no wonder the UK charts have been in such a shocking state. Oh, and those elusive "three" are: Paolo Nutini - Candy (pointless) 3Oh!3 - Don't Trust Me (it roughly peaked around the same place as it did first time - pointless) Paloma Faith - New York (I like the original but just can't imagine the song working with a rapper - pointless) Stromae - Alors On Danse (where art thou? :drama: )

I dunno if the latter two were playlisted originally but ATL def. were. EDIT: The xx's 'Islands' is a re-release too and they definitely playlisted it on its first release Edited July 7, 201016 yr by Bray

I dunno if the latter two were playlisted originally but ATL def. were. EDIT: The xx's 'Islands' is a re-release too and they definitely playlisted it on its first release ...and Radio 1 are supposed to be ground breaking introducing brand new music to their core audience? Next they'll be C-listing 'When You Believe' by Leon Jackson. (ok, they won't but so many re-releases? I guess this is what happens when record companies suffer to a recession). :(
July 7, 201016 yr Author Actually, I'd be more happy if they started playing the track on 6 Music. :D (6 Music - the new Radio 1 :P ). Except that is has barely any listeners and little impact in the charts :P
July 7, 201016 yr Except that is has barely any listeners and little impact in the charts :P It's wishful thinking. :(
July 7, 201016 yr Author Little to no chance of getting playlisted: Corinne Bailey Rae – Closer Jamie Foxx feat Justin Timberlake & T.I. – Winner Kate Nash - Kiss That Grrrl Adam Lambert – Whataya Want From Me Amy MacDonald – This Pretty Face Donkeyboy – Ambitions Faithless – Tweak Your Nipple Inna – Amazing Vanessa Amarosi – This Is Who I Am Chicane - Middledistancerunner Nickelback – This Afternoon Young Money – Every Girl In The World Ciara feat Ludacris – Ride Janelle Monae – Tightrope Wiley feat Jodie Connor & J2K - Electric Boogaloo (Find A Way) Esmée Denters feat Justin Timberlake - Love Dealer Kyrah – Uh Oh

Is the video even on music channels though, I at least though Chart Show would play it. Gutted for Donkeyboy too although it was expected.
July 7, 201016 yr Good for Hoosiers, really like it actually :o They could do a Scouting for Girls, whose new single is a pile of crap compared to "This Ain't A Love Song" -_- And WHY get rid of Muse just as the film comes out? I wouldn't have been surprised if they re-entered the top 40 butt there's no chance now :(
