Posted July 12, 201015 yr lP5-UZLr18s been looking forward to this for a long time, as they were pretty much my highlight of 2008. 'shut up and let me go' was my anthem. from the live performance of their new single 'hands', it sounds a little different from what they did before. quite synthy. although it's quite low quality so I suppose we've got to wait for the studio version. I'm so excited! :w00t:
July 12, 201015 yr I thought The Ting Tings to be more indie than pop :( Love it already. They always come with some thing amazing.
July 12, 201015 yr Sounds $h!t. Could grow I suppose just like their last era did with me. 'We Started Nothing' was awful when I first heard it, but I grew to love it, but not really liking the sound of this.
July 13, 201015 yr Author I thought The Ting Tings to be more indie than pop :( Love it already. They always come with some thing amazing. I'd say they're more new wave which slides inbetween indie and pop. by the way, you'll like this :kink: - http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/news/a19...th-rihanna.html
July 13, 201015 yr I wasn't entirely looking forward to this album as 1] the song abve sounds a bit meh and 2] I had a feeling they'd suffer from the 2nd album slump. However, Rihanna sounds really interesting and I'm a bit more excited now :P
July 13, 201015 yr Ugh :puke: couldn't stand them first time round, can't see me liking them this time round either! though I didn't mind 'Fruit Machine' :kink:

August 11, 201014 yr Ting Tings team up with Calvin Harris for comeback single Band to release 'Hands' in October August 11, 2010 The Ting Tings are set to release their comeback single, 'Hands', on October 11, NME can announce. The single has been mixed by Calvin Harris. The single will be the first from the Salford duo's Berlin-recorded second album, due later in 2010, which they have previously said will be named 'Kunst'. Speaking of the album sessions, drummer and main songwriter Jules De Martino said: "Our time in Berlin was a fresh start, with no rules again. When you've had an album that's been successful, the danger is you go back in the studio, look back and try and emulate it." Frontwoman Katy White added: "It'd be so lazy and easy to make the same album twice." 'Hands' will be released on 12-inch limited-edition vinyl and as a digital download. The cover art is pictured.
August 13, 201014 yr Author yeah, I saw that before. hopefully that means we've not got much longer to wait. also, rumour has it that this is the official single cover: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_dM8qcwNLVW4/TGQpTwTlYVI/AAAAAAAABEU/o-QEbrae4EU/s1600/thetingtings-hands.jpg bit dull if you ask me. :(
August 18, 201014 yr Gonna listen to radio 1 tonight!   Can't wait :D didnt like the live one at first, but now I can't stop playing it. Hopefully will be big hit, their new album is meant to be quite dark they say.
August 18, 201014 yr Author just premiered, it's certainly no 'shut up and let me go' but it's something new for sure. sounds like a grower, as well. good to have them back.
August 18, 201014 yr K3zLH1VFaJA It's good and I enjoy it, but it doesn't quite have the magic that TNMN and SUALMG had. I actually prefer the Low Sunday Indie Fix remix of the song, which is available on their Facebook page. Edited August 18, 201014 yr by West
August 19, 201014 yr Just heard it for the first time, had another play on Radio 1. I really like it, pretty instant for me :o
