Does Anyone Think The Saturdays could possibly get there first number 1 with Missing You..It's at #94 on the albums chart now(Only added Today).

I know hardcore fans will be preordering early but still It's pretty good considering Forever is over was in the low top 200 in albums a couple of weeks before release.

Also, Slightly off topic..There Album is in the top 20 Pre-Orders in music already in HMV it's a bargain for £6.99 and a free poster!

Probably.

But how weird would it look if the likes of 'Up', 'Ego', 'Issues' and even their charity release 'Just Can't Get Enough' failed to reach the top spot but this underwhelming single gets there instead?

Can't see it if I'm being honest - FIO was a great song, instantly catchy and didn't make #1. Neither did "Up" and the same could be said for that.

On the other hand, MY is a little bit on the boring side and doesn't really go anywhere - it's like it wants to be a dance track but doesn't quite manage it, sitting on the dance/ballad fence. It should have been one or the other, not an insipid hybrid.

I reckon it will have the worst chart run of all The Saturdays singles and may even miss the top 10.

If it's actually released the same week as Taio Cruz - Dynamite still then no chance whatsoever, though it may be battling with Alexandra within the top 5 (or maybe top 3).

No, it wont- I think the Saturdays will just never get a number 1, Missing You is very generic and doesnt really go anywhere, plus too autotuned- I can see it getting number 2 at best, its just not number 1 material

I agree it doesn't stand a chance of #1, but since when did a song "not being #1 material" ever prevent anything from going there.

well, there are songs that just dont sound like number 1s, as in, may not appeal to a wide audience

It never was planned for that release date. Missing You is released August 9th and Dynamite and Start Without You are released August 23rd. I can see it peaking at number 5 myself, dont think it stands any chance at the number 1.

I think 'Missing You' will be a bigger hit than people expect, I don't think it's bland at all and is my fave from The Sats along with 'Ego' but each to their own.
I like the chorus of The Saturdays song but it is a mess, it sounds rush thrown together and the bits of the song are mismatched completely, it's completely obvious that all the parts were recorded seperately and just thrown together.
i like the song but its not a song that i think people can listen to alot thats why i dont think it will get no.1 it gets boring after a few plays
But they could do that *already*, so there's no more reason for them to do it now, than before.
Well, as odd as it sounds, people actually do. Maybe they're reminded by seeing it on the tracklisting and go to download it. It's happened in the past when Now! albums have been released ;)

Swedish House Mafia top 60 on pre-order :o

Maybe it won't be as big a flop as I imagined it would be.

Are you serious? The hype surrounding this is massive. People are quoting it on facebook and things, getting big radio 1 play, and you think it'll flop? :P

RE The Sats. They deserve a number 1 finally. 'Missing You' is a good enough song imo. I hope it manages it for them, but I think they're released same week as Flo-Rida (LOL. Flo vs. Sats part II :P) so may have stiff competition.

Really?

I haven't encountered this hype.

I based my prediction off the fact that One (Your Name) has received no recognition at all on BuzzJack. When the Now 76 tracklisting was revealed a lot of BuzzJackians had never heard of it.

I *want* it to do well, but I'm not convinced it will. (It was #1 on my personal chart for 3 weeks :kink: but I've gotten over it a little now)

The new releases this week are really struggling will Diana Vickers and Pendulum even go Top 40.So pleased Jedward are floppin got nothing against them but Louis Walsh talks out his arse when he tries to convince everyone they are the next big thing.Hope All Night Long does not drop out of the Top 40.

 All the individual tracks (bar 'Untouched') are each 20p more expensive than the whole album.

I won't buy it though in case it's just a visual error and not an actual one. 'Untouched' is only 59p though.
