Australian pop singer Kylie Minogue began as an actress, working on the TV show NEIGHBOURS, whose UK popularity helped the young singer taking up with megapop production team Stock, Aitken & Waterman. With that titanic trio behind her, Kylie became the queen of the British pop charts, scoring hit after hit. Though Kylie reigned supreme in the UK, establishing a Madonna-like presence on records and in films, she didn't take off in America until her 2002 album FEVER. Following 2003's Body Language, Kylie was diagnosed with breast cancer, a disease that went into remission in two years. She returned in 2007 with X, the same year she launched an extensive tour, and three years later she delivered her eleventh album. - HMV

I was expecting Kylie at #11 this week. Whatever.

All the Lovers is still brilliant in my opinion. :dance:

Good to see this isnt falling quickly, its a great song :D

 

 

Even though I like Kylie, I must admit this is a weak lead off single. I'm therefore surprised at its success.

Have you noticed how it continuously switches places with Example? One week he's higher, next one she is and so on.

well shes been one place ahead for the last two weeks and he was the first two weeks, so not continuously, but they do always seem to be very close together :o

Surely its better they finally got a new peak? :wacko:

 

It sells what it sells...I think five weeks at no. 7 without getting higher is cooler than one week at no. 6.

 

If it goes top 3 then it's a different story.

Though I do agree in some ways, the song hadn't quite been the same since seeing the underwhelming video. :(
