August 15, 201014 yr got to be the wanted for me, JLS are just way too corny, and dont seem able to write decent songs at all!!
August 16, 201014 yr To be honest if they want to kiss their fans on the lips they can I wouldn’t mind one off any of them lol JLS and The wanted are both amazing bands and I love them both.
August 16, 201014 yr If you think JLS don't have chemistry and that the boys are trying to outshine Aston then you obviously don't know much about them Heres an interview they did with Chris Moyles From 1:30 he talks to them about Aston being the lead vocalist during X Factor .. Maybe its just me but I really don't see any rivalry there ? A recent interview http://www.itnsource.com/shotlist//ITN/2010/06/29/R29061012/ From 3:30 where they talk about writing songs for the album, people calling them manufactured etc.. Fair enough you don't like their music as most people on this forum don't, but like the boys said in the ITN interview most people don't "know" enough about them/their history and hence assume things about them It would be different if they had been put together for the show, but they had been a group for a year before they even auditioned for X Factor and had won an Urban Music Award for Best Unsigned Act and finished 1st/2nd on Project Talent UK If you listen to their songs that they had written before X Factor (Shy Of The Cool is on youtube) its obvious that they have the ability to write and be a decent group, but they have unfortunately been taken down another route by their record label/management.. I've liked all their songs except for The Club Is Alive, but according to a reliable source Marvin was the only member that liked the single and so I hope in time to come they are able to have more say when it comes to what songs are released The Wanted have only had one single so far and I can see them having even less creative control than JLS, but we can't really compare both groups until TW have been around for a significant amount of time I was reading a thread on here from when Beat Again was released and most seemed to like the song and yet now everyone seems to despise them.. It could go either way with TW I didn't say it factually, I gave it as an opinion and it one that I am entitled to. Honestly, I think they should make better use of Aston as their lead vocalist, rather than giving verses to other members of the band who, to be honest, just aren't up to the standard required. Assumptions are, of course, going to be made about JLS, because their sound before the X Factor is one that no-one is familiar with. They could have won as many awards as Lady GaGa and no-one would care, because they've gone against that and changed their sound completely. Beat Again was a ridiculous song. In my opinion the worst number 1 of 2009 (apart from any charity single). Saying that the Wanted have no creative input is something that you cannot even begin to try and prove, because (well, apart from the fact that proving a negative can't be done) you know nothing about the band at the minute. No-one really does. They've released one good single that has been well received. Saying they have less creative input than JLS is pure rubbish, because we don't know how much the Wanted has, but recent evidence would suggest that JLS has been entirely manufactured since being signed to Syco and the Wanted sound as they always have done thus far; It would therefore seem that JLS have next to no creative input. Your argument, therefore, is proved to be irrelevant. As you said, however, we must wait until the Wanted have been around for longer. Perhaps they will have quite a lot of input in the future, or they could manage the impossible feat, which is having even less input than JLS.
August 16, 201014 yr This is a bit of an unfair contest - given the fact the wanted have only released one single and havent even had a proper album out yet. Its hard to compare the two properly at this stage.
August 16, 201014 yr Both bands contain genuine people (or it would seem). I dislike both's music in general, some of JLS stuff is okay... 'All Time Low' borders on boring thanks to its flatness and simple lyrics.
August 17, 201014 yr Both bands contain genuine people (or it would seem). I dislike both's music in general, some of JLS stuff is okay... 'All Time Low' borders on boring thanks to its flatness and simple lyrics. Simple lyrics!? "She's the kind of girl you read about/In magazines/Glossy magazines" is a simple lyric. In fact, it's $h!t lyric. "I'm in pieces/It's seems like peace is/The only thing I'll never know" is a very good pop lyric - notice the internal rhyme?
August 18, 201014 yr Is there any point in even comparing their first singles when they were both written by the same people. It is like comparing Tik Tok and California Gurls.

August 18, 201014 yr Well surely that means they are more easily comparable? Have you not read the previous posts? Neither Beat Again or All Time Low are songs that were created out of the members of the bands own merit. Therefore, it is hard to define what The Wanted's music is going to be like.

April 7, 201114 yr The Wanted all the way-they have more credibility, better songs, they dont seem to be in it to just exploit there very young fans.
April 7, 201114 yr  (at the above post, btw) Let's see... JLS vs. The Wanted 'The Club is Alive' vs. 'All Time Low' 'Love You More' vs. 'Heart Vacancy' 'Eyes Wide Shut' vs. 'Lose My Mind' And I REALLY like 'Gold Forever'. I think I'm going to say JLS. They have the most potential, imo. Although I prefer The Wanted's album to 'Outta This World', I just feel like, when they get it right, JLS are incredible. But they're God awful when they get it wrong. There's not much middle ground, imo. Whereas The Wanted's album is only better as all their songs seem to be very good and nothing more...
April 8, 201114 yr this is easier now that The Wanted have done a few more singles- for The Wanted, I think All Time Low is great, Lose My Mind and Gold Forever are good and Heart Vacancy is bad for JLS, The Club Is Alive is awful, Love You More and Eyes Wide Shut were good at the time but have tired on me now- so I'll say The Wanted, although I do think JLS are better in an artistic kind of way (better singers being a key point)
April 8, 201114 yr Author Surprisingly enough, if I started this poll now I would vote for JLS. Their album is quite good while the Wanted have disappointed me.
April 8, 201114 yr Definitely JLS for me. The Wanted still haven't released anything close to as good as One Shot.
April 8, 201114 yr Mmm.. I guess it's all down to opinion, then. I don't see how All Time Low is better than Beat Again or One Shot!. I'm sure they mimed both their BBLB and GMTV performances, and I know people think JLS can't sing but acapella wise, JLS are better than The Wanted. The only thing The Wanted have over JLS is that more members play instruments as opposed to JLS. So, if you went to one of The Wanted's gigs, you wouldn't be bored if they just stood there? I'd rather have a group of lads doing dancemoves (regardless if they're not tight) rather than a bunch of Westlife's -sitting-on-a-stool thing. Westlife are not sitting on stools on their gigs. . .
April 9, 201114 yr JLS for me JLS might seem like a product with possibly adding their to name almost quite a number of things, but they are talented guys with amazing chemistry. The wanted's songs are dull and i think they are all looks with no full package and personality.
