August 11, 201015 yr I think dubstep is a rising genre- Magnetic Man did something very unexpected by going top 10, and sooner or later, there could actually be a dubstep number 1 I think Katy B could actually have an outside chance of #1 unless it's released on a REALLY competitive week :o
August 11, 201015 yr Stromae :o Wasn't Katy B only C-List last week? I hope it's massive, dubstep needs a proper hit (I Need Air doesn't count, that wasn't proper dubstep) It's not really proper dubstep though... Isn't that Die Antwoord song just a collosal joke from a year ago?
August 11, 201015 yr Yay for alesha, coxy has it as her record of the week aswell :D Glad katy perry has gone up but to be honest, it was pretty obvious.

August 11, 201015 yr 6th of September week will be quite tough. Judging by the release schedule there could be a LOT of releases! Alesha – Drummer Boy Alexandra Burke feat Laza Morgan - Start Without You K’naan feat Adam Levine – Bang Bang Linkin Park – The Catalyst McFly – Party Girl Robyn – Hang With Me Only McFly and Alexandra are dead cert for top-10 for me though. And I hope Alesha beats Alexandra. Edited August 11, 201015 yr by Arrs
August 11, 201015 yr It's not really proper dubstep though... It's as proper as playlist dubstep can get.
August 11, 201015 yr It's as proper as playlist dubstep can get. Didn't they playlist Benga - Night? You're right, though, definitely as dubstep as the A list will get. It's a shame though, I'd rather dubstep remain the genre that defines middle class students pretending to be rudeboy than the new chav ringtone on the back of the bus - which is what it will become if this Katy B song is big. Dubstep is meant to be played in grimy west indian centres - not Revolution.
August 11, 201015 yr There's vocal verion of Caspa's playlisted track with Mr Hudson. It could be the next dupstep hit

August 12, 201015 yr Dubstep is 2011 in a box. Everyones going to start using Skream/Benga/Jeuce/Rusko/Jakwob etc. to produce their shiz... Dubstep is pretty big round where I live anyway... Won't be long now before it becomes mainstream, & crap. :(
August 12, 201015 yr Yeah !!! The Saturdays and Inna on A-List looks like 3 Beat/AATW did something right with Inna
August 12, 201015 yr Well done for Alesha and Stromae and Linkin Park for being playlisted. Finally Radio 1 are showing diversity there was too much of an indie overhaul. I would prefer to Alesha get to #1 over Alexandra. Great for Katy P and Katy B moving up to B list and A list respectively :) Also Inna moving to A List with the amazing 'Amazing'. BTW, I really don't want dubstep to go mainstream though :( Edited August 12, 201015 yr by Tactical™
August 12, 201015 yr I'd hope the quality of dubstep doesn't plummet once it goes mainstream, but unfortunately it's pretty inevitable... :(
August 12, 201015 yr I'm scared - first McFly's new song I love now Alors On Danse by Stromae is growing on me :o What's gotten into me? Glad Alesha is playlisted, should go top 10 then  Just wish Shontelle was there :(
August 13, 201015 yr I'd rather dubstep remain the genre that defines middle class students pretending to be rudeboy than the new chav ringtone on the back of the bus - which is what it will become if this Katy B song is big. Haha, very true round where I live... There are other dance sub-genres that are better than this! (House, Techno etc.)
August 13, 201015 yr ehh where the hell is Alexandra Let it go, I can see they are going to be trying really hard to get No 1 for Alesha that week.Alex will still do well regardless.Hope Shontell and Olly Murs can also do well when they are released.

What? They playlisted Alesha only this week which is usually the last week prior to the release when they playlist songs.
