This album is perfection, proves how POORLY the singles have been chosen! TEOG, BTW, Y&I, Bad Kids are the only songs that aren't 10/10 for me and that's based on only 3 full listens through the album!

 

Singles 1 and 2 should have been Americano and Scheiße! Grr so frustrating!

Why?

 

I think it's clever to save some of the best singles for last. If you release all your good singles first then your buggered (a la Britney Spears). Yes, I'm going to get a smack for this lol. Look at this way, if she released Americano and Scheibe first and then released 'Born This Way' as the fourth single, do you think it'd do anything for the album or do really well in the charts? I doubt it. (Flash 2 months into the future) If she was to release 'Scheibe' or 'Americano' next, it would surely definitely boost album sales and have great peaks around the world.

 

Excuse if it doesn't make much sense as I'm doing some work at the same time.

I am too a massive Brit fan and a massive Gaga fan. There's no law that states you can't be...

I think she is very smart, by releasing the weaker song son the album first.

 

Releasing BTW as the lead single really brought down the MILE high expectations for this album (I know a lot of people love it, but it's not near close to screaming MONSTER SMASH like 'Scheibe' or 'Americano'). It really is a master move.

Pretty much the only people I've seen hate this album are hardcore Britney fans. And one hardcore Madonna fan. There are exceptions, but by and large...

I used to stan for her when she was still close to unknown with 'Just Dance'. I've continued to go through rough patches with her, but her music always ends up delivering. Was just VERY worried since I just CANNOT like 'Born This Way' and 'Hair'. A very pleasant surprise.

 

Excuse me while I go run 27 miles to Americano. This song pumps me the f*** up.

 

 

OHOOOOHHHAAAAHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

I've listened in full 3 times (as well as to Government Hooker and Americano about 20 times :wub:), and my rate is:

Marry The Night - 10 (a real grower, I was a bit dissapointed when it leaked yesterday but today it's grown on me SO MUCH!)

Born This Way - 10 (actually not a bad single choice, I'm thinking Judas/Americano/Edge Of Glory would've been better as 1st single though)

Government Hooker - 11 (oh god just amazing :wub: I would say it beats Bad Romance, but that would mean it's my fave song ever, which sounds pretty weird about a song I've only had in my life for less than 24 hours!)

Judas - 10 (Still absoulutely amazing, so amazing on loud, and I just HAVE to sing along!)

Americano - 10 (sounds SO much like an amazing version of the awful We No Speak Americano! Up there with her best songs for me :wub:)

Hair - 9.5 (Continuing the amazing streak, but what stops this being a 10 is - as Slowpoke said - how 'tweakable' the chorus is)

Sheisse - 10 (banger! I knew the remix was promising, but I never expected something this amazing)

Bloody Mary - 10 (fast climbing up my rankings, this is like an improved version of So Happy I Could Die)

Bad Kids - 10 (UNDERRATED! The verses are LIFE, and I love the understated chorus!)

Highway Unicorn (Road To Love)- 9.5 (I can deffo hear the PF comparisons, it's not as good but it is very different too)

Heavy Metal Lover - 10 (For reason, I'm hearing Trip To Your Heart by Britney here - that's a good thing!)

Electric Chapel - 9.5 (the intro :wub: It reminds me of another song, I can't think what though...)

You & I - 9 (Not as good as the live version imo, and the weakest song on the album imo - though that's not too bad considering the standard! It's stunning and all, I just wish it was a bit more stripped back!)

The Edge Of Glory - 10 (Brilliant closer, it's in my top 5 of the album! Just love it, it shows off her new style at the same time as keeping her style as heard on The Fame!)

 

OK, so with time to process, I F****ING LOVE THIS :wub: $h!ts all over anything else released this year, and I'd say it's my favourite album I've ever heard! The way she tries to keep a consistent style while keeping all sounding so experimental, leftfield, fresh and unique is amazing! All the songs are laden with uber catchy hooks and thumping beats (much better on blasting loud! :wub:), all presided over by her voice - much stronger than TF days! Ranking:

Well the psychotic ones are always going to hate each other and the artists just because they fear the other will overshadow their idol. I have gotten messages on last fm cussing me out because I am playing Gaga's new album. Just like Gaga fans hack polls about Britney and troll her forum. Both artists have more then there share of looney tunes.

 

I will always prefer Britney, but she will never make it where I can't appreciate a kick ass song when I hear it. People just assume I'm like that, because I defend Britney in her own right. GETS RATHER ANNOYING.

'Heavy Metal Lover' reminds of 'Starstruck' for some reason. . I'm LOVING it and 'Scheiße' at the mo. . Gosh I'll be listening to this album 24 7 for like the next month. . The album is so mixed from stadium rock to foreign out of this world sounding anthems to sleazy club bangers to some really creepy dark $h!t! The variation is just brilliant, something her first two albums lacked! This album better outsell freaking Adele!
