This is gonna flop now that you started innit :(

score one against a forum if this gets no activity :funky:

To be honest for me as an ex PC gamer, consoles are on top now :P There's very few games now where a PC is better. Plus consoles are far more affordable, never change their specs (apart from HDD increases and cases redesigns) until a brand new one replaces it. A PC is a never ending battle of upgrading to keep up to date with the latest games.

Anyhoo...

My PC is like miles out of date, i'm still running XP

My console never goes out of date though

Only certain games are better on PC imo. Its having a resurgence with the likes of the Starcraft II out right now and Microsoft supporting it again with Age of Empires online, Microsoft Flight and returning the Fable series to PC.

But consoles have always ruled for me, I thought I would want to upgrade my PC for Battlefield 3 but now even that is coming to consoles :o

The new consoles will launch at 2012 at the very earliest. I think Nintendo might be the first to launch despite being market leader myself. Sony have stated that they intend to be the last to launch but I don't believe they'll wait too long. They'll be within a few months of each other in 2012/13.

The new handhelds are coming now though with 3DS set for release in at least one market this year (probably Japan) and is looks like its launching in the UK in March. Too many PSP2 rumours going about right now to really know what's what though  Late 2011 methinks. Whether it is Android partnership and/or has touch screen technology we'll have to see.

we already have a gaming thread, its called buzzrate o_0
Can't go wrong with the humble X-Box 360. Although mine has been through the wars, my Mum dropped it while dusting :(

I often why there was never a gaming thread and was tempting to create one myself but researched that there was one already :o

So here are some recent games you need to know about that have been praised about;

Tom Clancy's Division

Quantam Break

Uncharted 4: A Theifs End

Ratchet and Clank

Are there any other games you have been playing that you are enjoy? Any release that still to come in 2016 that you cannot wait to play.

Game On!

I finished the Tomb Raider 2013 game recently and I'm currently playing the XBOX 360 version of Legend which I completed a couple of years ago on the PS2 version. I'd like to play the TR released last year and the Deathly Hallows games which I didn't get to play on PS2 but can now I have an XBOX.

(when I say currently I don't mean right this moment  Multiasking! teas)

I wanna play Quantam Break just because I want to play with Shawn Ashmore tbh :kink:

Thought you might :kink: Tbh it looks so life like

there used to be a gaming forum :D

I like Football Manager - that's really it though.

I agree very much with the sentiment in the opening post, as true now as it was back then, PCs are always better.

Which is mainly for me because I generally find strategic, world conquest games the best, games suited to a PC. And I rarely keep up with new releases as they're always seeming to be the same type of shit first-person shooter that people waste their money on before they get any kind of review - the only shooter games I play are either those that many people have said are the very best before I even think about buying it or the ones that take the piss (i.e. the Just Cause series). And I don't actually own any consoles (bar a Wii U) because I have no desire to play most of the games on them.

Civilization has been a bit of a steadfast for me for a while now, but lately what's been taking over everything is a new obsession with Crusader Kings 2, such that I play hours upon hours with it every session and have to forbid myself to play it with a deadline anywhere near. As far as map games and history games and games that make an average play-session outintrigue most episodes of Game Of Thrones it's right at the pinnacle.

I can go through phases with Football Manager if I'm feeling in a particularly laddish mode. Ironically, mostly that's in football's off-season, I tend towards RPGs in winter, sports games in summer.

Every time someone says they didn't know there was a gaming thread. :( #neverforget

Just pre-ordered Uncharted 4 and getting Ratchet & Clank delivered same time. Got a massive backlog of games though (Fallout 4, Bloodborne, Far Cry 4, Just Cause 3, The Evil Within).

Been too obsessed trying to get all the multiplayer trophies on Star Wars Battlefront!
