No, I assume not. It's a Tuesday, which is when songs are normally released to iTunes in the US. And yes, it would be too early for the UK release.

Worldwide iTunes release ^_^ , apart from that you are correct.

I just have to share this, its from Rihanna's newsletter

"Only Girl (In the World)" is Out Now!

Rihanna's brand new song, "Only Girl (In the World)" has premiered and is available to listen to right now on RihannaNow.com! it was produced by Stargate, the Grammy-winning team that worked with Rihanna on "Irreplaceable," "Hate That I Love You" and "Don't Stop the Music." This track is sure to be one of the hottest dance tracks of the fall and will be available soon at iTunes -- visit RihannaNow.com for emerging details.

Irreplaceable?

LMFAO at that error! Beyoyo will not be pleased! HA!

That cover looks nice enough I guess. Although the R looks cheap and tacky.

I love the 'R' :P it keeps the style of the last one, yet is less dark-looking.

I love the cover! The 'R' is a bit 'mehh'. I'd rather something totally different to seperate this era from Rated R, but anywho!

Love the song  No doubt a #1!

The 'R' is cool. Just proves how big/magnetic woman she is. She doesn't need her name ALL OVER THAT COVER THERE COZ ITS RIHANNA. You recognice her by face, pseudo-iconic. Very cool.

It's too generic.

Sounds like a Ministry of Sound minor compilation track from 2004. Too bad Americans think this is the new sound to go for.

Rihanna had her own sound with Rude Boy and Hard, she should've gone that route instead of jumping on the David Guetta bandwagon.

Yesterday I had Capital streaming upstairs and Only Girl came up and I was like "Oh God, Rihanna is screaming in my room..." The chorus is that screamy. I hope Cheers is much better.

I was going to say this but not so well so I'll just quote it.

I've decided I love this :( Yes it may be generic and not up to the standard of previous singles but it's so infectious .

This is released on Tuesday in America :o not the 21st

According to her official website:

The first single off of Rihanna’s upcoming album Loud will be on sale Monday September 13 on iTunes! Fresh off the North American leg of the Last Girl on Earth Tour, Rihanna is wasting no time getting fans out of their seats and on the dance floor with this Stargate-produced jam

I guess not :o If you didn't know 'Only Girl' is the most added song of 2010 over in the US.

They usually do this in the US don't they? It's not unusual for a song to be released to iTunes very soon after it's radio premiere.

Yes, I think it's normal in the US. In my opinion, this is better because it could stop less people downloading illegally, as it is available straight away. People in the UK might not want to wait a month until release date. And I think it could make the charts more interesting/unpredictable, as there probably wouldn't be any songs debuting at #1.

OMG. Sorry i'm incredibly late, but this passed me by as a Stargate production! LMAO! Don't they usually stick to one particular sound and just tweak it a tiny bit with each of their own releases? Now they're attempting to copy Guetta. Woo for Stargate :P

#9 on US Itunes now, which Is great as I didn't think its US style at all, hopefully it will go #1 in the UK.

its also #1 on Norway Itunes!
