August 26, 201014 yr This is alright actually, I'll be shocked if it doesn't go to #1. A bit cheesy but you always knew with these two it would have a bit of humour about it, hence the video I guess.
August 26, 201014 yr No. 1 all the way. This isn't the usual type of music radio 1 play but heyho it's not about the music it's about who it is. Really thought they'd come up with something better than this. Although I ain't a huge Robbie fan I do really rate his latest album. I find the lyrics to this single really twee. The video is obviously tongue in cheek a bit like the friendship.
August 26, 201014 yr What an odd video. Top 5 defo but where exactly? Number 2 I guess. :kink:
August 26, 201014 yr Really like it on first listen. Nice melody. A VERY sentimental video too - is this out before either of their albums? If so, I think this could sell 150k+ - I expect this to be absolutely massive. Glad its more Gary-style of music than Robbie-style of music. "What a shame we never listen, told you through the television" what the hell does this bit sound like? I'm sure its some 90's or early 00's song - perhaps even something by Gareth Gates? Although I can't place it .... :(
August 26, 201014 yr I love this poll. I'll vote for #1. Firstly I thought that the song is boring as Obama's headphones but it has grown on me and I don't mind it. Still not a #1 worthy.

August 26, 201014 yr "i feel it in my fingers, i feel it in my toes" Wet Wet Wet? :o Yep, that's it!!!! :) :o :o Its the guitar in the background there. I don't think I would have got that one, thanks!!
August 26, 201014 yr HORRIBLE. Kind of annoying they know it will sell purely on their names, but sorry this is one of the worst songs i've heard in a long long time.
August 26, 201014 yr I think the Song is pretty average. However, it will be No.1. There is already huge hype over it. UK Radio will play it to death - as they always do with anything connected with Robbie - no matter how ordinary the Song may sound. It will definitely be No.1. Giving Robbie his 7th No.1 'Solo' Hit, & Gary his 3rd. Take That's next Single will be their 12th UK No.1 - if only due to the hype of Robbie re-joining them. Basically - these Singles will be No.1, irrespective of whether they are any good..... Also - it is a Myth that Robbie's Solo Career is in a mess, & he had to crawl back to Take That. They are bigger than him, (now), in the UK & Ireland - only. He's far bigger than Take That every- where else. (Bar the USA - where neither Act means much). A fact that the UK Media is totally ignorant of. It prefers to pretend that Robbie was in decline, & Take That are huge everywhere.....
August 27, 201014 yr #1 most likely. Although everything about this is dire :manson: I said #2 - this is so awful that not even their combined fanbases will take it to #1 (remember what happened wirh Robbie & Kylie 'Kids').
August 27, 201014 yr I said #2 - this is so awful that not even their combined fanbases will take it to #1 (remember what happened wirh Robbie & Kylie 'Kids'). You could be right actually. I'm not even sure if every TT fan would buy it ... perhaps Mark, Jason and Howard fans won't ... so they can only be absolutely sure that Rob's fans (and that can't be taken for granted as I'm sure a lot of Rob fans hated it even before hearing it - due to Barlow's involvement) and one quarter of TT fans will buy plus any impartial record buyers - and I can't see this picking up any impartial fans. I like TT but I won't buy this ... whilst I don't think its awful ... it just isn't very good ... given the build up it had. Having said that ... publicity via the TV whilst wasn't quite as abundant as it is now. I'm hoping that the next TT album is an improvement on this or I won't be buying that either. August 27, 201014 yr I won't buy this either. What's the point when I am going to buy Robbie's GH one week later anyway? Shame is an average song compared to what Gary and Robbie have produced in the recent past. I believe it is actually the worst (one of the worst if we include some b-sides) song featured in the GH. It has Radio-Hit written all over it though, so it could end up no1 on the ytd airplay chart. It will hit no1 (I would say for one week because the album release the week after that may kill the single sales) on the sales chart too. The truth is it IS a grower but fans were expecting more (eager to boo the reunion if it didn't happen) and people who are not fans are annoyed (understandable) because of the huge hype behind the song regardless the quality. This is not fresh news: remember the Gaga hype? remember the XF hype? now we have the reunion hype! +I have to agree with everything zeus said. Robbie doesn't need TT and they don't need him. However, that never stopped them before! They will all enjoy the extra money and hype as long as it lasts. (1 year). Won't do any good to Robbie's fanbase outside the UK thats for sure! Lol at the subtitle of the poll anyway Edited August 27, 201014 yr by 7heDreamer
August 28, 201014 yr The song was released on i tunes yesterday in Austria and Germany and it's already in 4th place. Quite impressive on the day after it's radio premiere.
August 28, 201014 yr Hopefully kept off the top spot by the fantastic Cee Lo Green That'd be quite ironic given the song is called 'f*** You'. No chance though, Cee-Lo might go top 10 if he has decent airplay but that's it
August 28, 201014 yr Probably the worst Robbie's single ever. And the video is just boring. Oh, Robbie, you disappoint me big time :( Of course it will get to number 1 though.

Kath The whole "fanbase buying singles" has just got old now. We are in 2010 Kath, not in your 1950s. Robbie has had hits and flops in the past, so have Take That, so you can't explain a song getting to number 1 only by the size of their fanbase. And anyway, I'm sure Gary's fans represent more than just one quarter of Take That. Two of the Take That are just non-existant and don't have many fans I guess, Gary is the most popular one by miles. Frig off! The only time I bought records 'on the basis of being a fan' was in the 70's (ELO) and the 90's (Level 42) - even though ... with those two acts ... history has proven they were bloody good ... despite being given the hard time that Take That have now. Admittedly it did help that those acts could play instruments as well and I suppose were 'real bands' as opposed to purely 'acts'. I've only bought Take That stuff this time because I do (did) like them. Until this .... two fairly passable songwriters coming together and instead of coming up with something memorable ... have come up with a Cliff Richard song. Despite me going off them ... Take That have still provided the best ever concerts I've been to - even better than ELO's Out Of The Blue tour in the 70's. It is sad that ageism raises it's head once again on this 'yoof' site!
