September 1, 201113 yr Where's the frikken aliens? As I said a few weeks ago, I don't think there are aliens involved. We all assumed they had to be and the twist could be that there are none!
September 2, 201113 yr Q and Major Kira from Star Trek in the same Torchwood episode! Geek overload! Odo makes a brief appearance as a shapeshifter next week :heehee: Major Kira bit the dust in that episode :snif:
September 2, 201113 yr As I said a few weeks ago, I don't think there are aliens involved. We all assumed they had to be and the twist could be that there are none! Yeah I suppose so. Still its a shame. I thought that was the whole point in Doctor Who/Torchwood
September 3, 201113 yr As I said a few weeks ago, I don't think there are aliens involved. We all assumed they had to be and the twist could be that there are none! Well then it's not Torchwood any more. It's 24 with alien floorboards, with Jack Harkness being the new Jack Bauer (who was also immortal :heehee:)
September 3, 201113 yr I liked episode 9. Actually I don't think this series is as bad as everyone thinks, I've enjoyed every episode. Here is the trailer for the finale (spoilers) rVRLR_87njI Well then it's not Torchwood any more. September 5, 201113 yr I've watched all the episodes so far, and frankly I think it's totally lost focus.... What started out really strongly has basically turned into a meandering exercise in pointless bush-beating which has really stalled this series.... There is nowhere near the tension or tight plotting of the brilliant Children of Earth, and frankly I think that had this series been of a similar length (say, about 5 or 6 episodes) it could've been just as good as CoE, as it is, it's been allowed to veer off-plot too much, IMO....
September 5, 201113 yr So the miracle is a giant crater??? Can't wait for the finale yeah i find that rather anti-climatic. i wouldnt say i havent enjoyed the series but it has been a bit weak, especially compared to how incredible Children of Earth was.
September 5, 201113 yr yeah i find that rather anti-climatic. i wouldnt say i havent enjoyed the series but it has been a bit weak, especially compared to how incredible Children of Earth was. Agreed.... I was looking at it and thinking... "what the hell is this supposed to be..?". Definitely not as good as Children of Earth....
September 5, 201113 yr I think the major problem this has suffered is that it's a plot that could easily be done in five parts, done over ten parts which doesn't allow for any plot focus and drags far too much. If 'Children Of Earth' was ten parts instead of five it would have suffered the same thing and not been anywhere near as amazing.

September 6, 201113 yr yeah i find that rather anti-climatic. i wouldnt say i havent enjoyed the series but it has been a bit weak, especially compared to how incredible Children of Earth was. Agreed.... I was looking at it and thinking... "what the hell is this supposed to be..?". Definitely not as good as Children of Earth.... Glad I wasn't the only one who thought it was a let down. Saw "the blessing" and it was just weird. COE was indeed much better.
September 10, 201113 yr Felt pretty sad for Esther, really thought she would pull through but I guess somebody had to die from the main cast. Glad Charlotte got it coming to her in the end too, I was afraid in the last moments she was going to get away with it. Interesting development with Rex too. Plus it seems like the families might not be finished. Totally set up for another series.... Edited September 10, 201113 yr by Sabrewulf
September 15, 201113 yr There is a Plan B  The ending I did not see that coming, great final episode, it made up for the dodgy half of the series. I was surprised that Esther was killed off though :snif:
September 15, 201113 yr I think the finale was pretty great; if only it hadn't dragged for a bit, I would've felt more hooked like I did with Children of Earth (I do know others have said basically that in different words, but I'm just agreeing :P). I'm so so gutted at Esther's death; she was my favourite character throughout, and least deserved it I feel. Oswald really shocked me as well; I thought he was great in the final episodes, and I loved that Charlotte got her comeuppance. I'm not sure I'm ready to watch Miracle Day part 2 anytime soon though... ETA: OH and my ABSOLUTE HIGHLIGHT of the series came with Gwen and Jilly's standoff in the lift! Absolutely amazing, and made me crack a laugh during what was such a sad final. Edited September 15, 201113 yr by THEO.
