May I be as BOLD as to suggest this is one of the best ballads by a female Australian former-soapstar-turned-singer?

 

In all seriousness, it is SO good lyrically and it's one of those songs I think is known by a lot of people, even though Delta has dropped off the radar (off ma radar) a bit.

Lost Without You is incredible, but there is no denying that Delta's best track/ballad is Believe Again. The strings, the lyrics, the haunting intro and outro :wub: It's a slice of ballad perfection

I think I used to have that song but I got rid of it because I thought it was mediocre. I was obviously wrong though because everyone and his dog is bumming it these days.

That would be because eveyone and their dogs have good taste ^_^

Lost Without You is one of those songs I'd forgotten Delta did. It is rather wonderful in retrospect. WOOOO.

Lost Without You is fantastic, but I maintain it's the weakest of the Innocent Eyes singles - Born To Try, Innocent Eyes, Not Me, Not I and Predictable are all preferable to me. It's still a 10/10 moment though :kink:

On first listen it's amazing :o I don't even know what song i prefer more, this or Believe Again. :o

I got sent 'Believe Again' by the lovely Phil last night and I have to say rather controversially that I find it a bit dull at the moment :eeek:

I reminded myself of the joys of Believe Again last night. S'ALRIGHT. Bumped it up to my current playlist on Spotify.

I think innocent eyes is the best single from her first album! Plus i love believe again, but it does take a few listens to get in to it... the video helps a lot too.

Agreed, most definitely :wub: Not on the second point though, I was won over instantly! It's all about the different elements of the song for me, it starts to get beyond amazing when the 'I believe the impossible, is possible to overcome' middle eight chant comes in. The way the song begins beautifully, builds up, and then has a gorgeous string finish is like no other.

I really like 'Innocent Eyes' and the message it has, but 'Lost Without You' for me is just one of those songs which I love to bang out loud whenever I feel miserable about love. (I've listened to it 20 times so it's obviously not that often... :lol:)
