My aunt lives about a mile or so from the track so just stay with her and all gotta do is get the flight over, very tempted B)

You'll pay a tidy sum to fly at that time of year direct into Melbourne [Maybe make it a 2/3wk hol to avoid the airlines cashing in on the GP] but the weather is reasonable [20's on race day in 09] and the event is incredibly well organised.

 

I didn't think much of Melbourne personally, but outside of the circuit i didn't have a brilliant experience. My hostel was a bit $h!t.

The boredom does my head in tbh lol when it comes to flying, anything above 7 hrs in one go and I am totally off my head with boredom :o that is why I would definitely break the journey up etc, 95% sure I will go

I survived 7hours with no room to move, a broken TV and just my iPod for entertainment during a 12.5hr flight :lol: I was far more prepared for my next leg :lol:
