What was the actual wording of the trivia question because technically any singer who made the last stages of the show in the last couple of years could be said to have had a no 1 single.....

How many X Factor finalists have had at least 1 #1

'Finalist' in X Factor terms refers to top 12, not top 3...

27  (from 30) Stromae - Alors On Danse [D]

Chart Run: 41-46-33-30-27 [5 wks]

Release date: 12-09-2010

Format: download only single

Label: Mosaert/Island

Half Rwandan and half Belgian Stromae is producer and artist behind European Billboard no.1 hit 'Alors On Danse'. The track has been a number 1 record in 11 countries.

• In Jan 2009 he created an online buzz when filming homemade "lessons in how to make a hit" ("Les Leçon De Stromae" or "Stromae's Lessons") for his Youtube channel. Lesson no. 8 "Alors On Dance" became a viral sensation and then a real hit on Europe’s radio airwaves and Youtube. - HMV

Mine too  Is that the official third single now then?

it has to be seeing as it did so well on itunes after the album release! plus it's amazing

6 amazing songs in a row and all have been played! wow

Hurts are beginning to remind me of OMD in a way from the 80s. Their sound so similar in many ways.
So wrong Alors on Danse is not top 20. :(
Shame Hurts/Stromae aren't 25 places higher...
Was hoping Stromae'd be a bit higher this week :( Hope 27 isn't his peak but it clearly is

Still love this. Top 20 next week please

ALORS ON DANNNNNNNNNNNNNNSE

Still love this. Top 20 next week please

ALORS ON DANNNNNNNNNNNNNNSE

It's easily one of the three best songs of 2010  It really needs to take off here, neither the Kanye or Erik Hassle remixes have entered the iTunes top 1000 yet and this version is back down to #24 there :(

Shame Hurts/Stromae aren't 25 places higher...

Exactly. I would say they ARE the top 2 songs of the year (is your other one Lena?) This country really seems to have a taste bypass sometimes

The U.K-based teen pop outfit the Saturdays formed in 2007 under the auspices of Polydor's Fascination Records. The five-piece girl group sports an accessible, melodic electro-pop sound tailored for pop radio, not to mention eye-catching good looks. In 2008 their debut single, "If This Is Love," hit number eight on the U.K. charts, only to be surpassed by "Up," which made it to number five, and "Issues" which reached number four. Their full-length studio album, CHASING LIGHTS, appeared in late 2008, followed soon after by a cover of the Depeche Mode synth-pop classic, "Just Can't Get Enough." With Spice Girls-inspired colour-coordinated outfits and distinct musical personalities, the Saturdays instantly captured the attention of the U.K. media, appearing on several television shows including the drama HOLLYOAKS LATER and the children's show ROSS LEE'S GHOULIES. - HMV
