November 11, 201212 yr Wow, didn't expect to see Toy Story 3 up there! I know it was massively talked about when it was released but for it to be in the Top 5 films in the UK? Skyfall's first week sales when released on DVD/Bluray are going to be fantastic! :D
November 12, 201212 yr Wow, didn't expect to see Toy Story 3 up there! I know it was massively talked about when it was released but for it to be in the Top 5 films in the UK? Toy Story is my favourite film on that list (and 4th overall if you consult my 'Top Film' thread :kink:) It really is a generation defining trilogy, that has managed to extend to everyone anywhere!
November 12, 201212 yr Such a great Bond film, probably the best of the ones I've seen. Perfectly shot, great soundtrack and very well paced. I thought it was quite humorous in places especially Kincade's 'Welcome to Scotland' after he blew the fuck out a couple of the mercenaries. I LOVE the new Moneypenny, she's a legend and the new Q is an OUTSTANDING piece of casting.
December 5, 201212 yr From Digital Spy: Skyfall has become the highest-grossing film ever at the UK box office. Daniel Craig's third outing as James Bond - the 23rd official movie in the series - has smashed the previous record held by Avatar in just 40 days. The film, directed by Sam Mendes, has taken £94,277,612. Avatar took 11 months to reach its lifetime gross of £94,025,632. Producers Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli said: "We're overwhelmed with gratitude to the cinema-going audiences in the UK who have made Skyfall the highest-grossing film of all time. "We are very proud of this film and thank everybody, especially Daniel Craig and Sam Mendes, who have contributed to its success." Gary Barber, chairman and CEO of MGM, added: "I am incredibly proud of the amazing heights to which this film continues to soar and wish to again congratulate all involved on reaching such a tremendous milestone." Managing director of Sony Pictures Releasing UK Peter Taylor said: "We are delighted that cinema-goers have so enthusiastically embraced Skyfall in such an incredible way. "It seems particularly fitting in 2012 that the latest James Bond adventure should become the highest-grossing movie ever, marking the 50th anniversary of one of our truly iconic cultural characters in record-breaking style." Deservedly so too! I quite liked Avatar, it was a good film, but to be the highest grossing? No way.

December 13, 201212 yr Apparently Javier Bardem (Silva) has been nominated for Best Supporting Actor by the Screen Actors Guild and the Broadcast Film Critics Association.
January 3, 201312 yr Absolutely tremendous film, I loved it. The cast was flawless and it was definitely my favourite recent Bond film. Very, very good.
January 29, 201312 yr Great role of Javier Bardem, but it was Ralph Fiennes who deserves applause. PS Skyfalll earned more than 1 billion worldwide :) Great succes.
February 4, 201312 yr Woeful bond movie. I had to watch the DVD to assure myself it was as bad as I thought. It was.
February 4, 201312 yr It was so bad I had to immediately buy the DVD and watch it again! Of course. :)
February 22, 201312 yr Woeful bond movie. I had to watch the DVD to assure myself it was as bad as I thought. It was. Haven't seen it myself but what you said is exactly what my friend said. He says it's very overrated.
