FOX40 SHOWBIZ: Simon Cowell, Cheryl Cole will be two of three new judges on "The X Factor," debuting in September 2011 on FOX.

Aah! So it's the news we've been waiting a while for, and it turns out Cheryl has got the job! I'm not sure when the programme starts in the US, but I'll try and catch some online. :)

Debuting in Sep 2011? :P

Great news, guess it means the UK one is done with really. This year just seems dull and samey samey now. Alike BB it's time for a nap I think.

So she won't be judging the UK one anymore? or is the UK X Factor finishing?

I don't think i'll watch X Factor without Cheryl :(

I thought it said UK, Matt! Well there's nothing to look forward to now. :P

Wow, great news for Cheryl if it turns to be confirmed.

But I'd be well sad if the X Factor were over in the UK. :( Obviously it won't go on without Simon and Cheryl.

I thought I heard whispers X Factor UK was starting at Chrimbo next year, or probably more easier in the New Year 2012. Sort of a break, needs some serious refreshing though.
Look forward to it, hopefully they will show it on Itv2 or something
Ahhh so Nicole didn't get it then? :( I very much doubt Simon will choose two female judges :drama: great news for Cheryl though. Good for her :)

Is there only gonna be 3 judges like?

I heard X Factor UK was taking a break next year to come back in 2012 at a different time.
That would mean no new album for Girls Aloud next year neither ...

That's why I'm totally against this idea. Ambitions are good but someone promised us to get back... Nicola, Kimba and Sarah are more or less free, Nadine basically said that she can do whatever she wants and her schedule is flexible, because she's on her own label. So it's up to Cheryl's shoulders. And if this year's come back is understandable (as Nadine's releasing her first solo album too) - next time I won't forgive her the delay again. The Girls Aloud might be quietly over if Cheryl gets popular in the US. And this is very unfair to the fans.

BUT MIND YOU ALL: that Theo's mentioned twitter is not official so it's still not confirmed.

This is amazing news for Cheryl if true, but bad news for Girls Aloud :( Who's going to leave success in the US to go back to a band that can only shift albums in the UK? Even if that band is one of our best pop groups. MEH. Mixed emotions right here.
I am very pleased for Cheryl, who wouldnt do it, I want Girls Aloud back as well but its a dream opportunity. I still think the line up will include Nicole and another male judge so 4 like the UK and Australia!
This thread should have waited for official conformation.

The Twitter IS official - it has enough evidence on the page to show...

Is it conformation from the actual network?

  • 1 month later...
This is not confirmed. Simon Cowell said just a few weeks ago that he is the only confirmed judge. The story about Cheryl being confirmed was false.

There's a big article in this week's Heat Magazine about how the American executives don't want Cheryl, and it now seems very unlikely for her to become a judge!

I hope this isn't true!!! :(
